This is infuriating, how they are spinning the president’s failing policies. If unemployment continues at this rate, people will not be able to afford extended COBRA to keep their coverage. That’s the real story they don’t want told.

If the recession is over, can we have back the money not yet spent (85%) from the porkulus debacle since it was necessary? Actually since it is our grandkid’s money can we just put a stop payment on the loan?

The President looks back at how we managed to avoid a depression, and looks forward at how we will help the economy recover and ensure the financial industry never again drags our economy down with reckless behavior. This administration is really panicking if this is the best they can come up with... time to batten down the hatches because things are going to get really bad quickly...

"under the status quo, around half of all Americans under 65 will lose their health coverage" Sure, because Medicare is bankrupt.

The headline and body don't match on the age.
Headline: White House claims half of 65+ losing health cov., obama stopped a depression
Body: "A staggering new report indicates that under the status quo, around half of all Americans under 65 will lose their health coverage at some point in the next ten years.

“around half of all Americans under 65 will lose their health coverage at some point in the next ten years.”
They can go buy their own WITH THEIR OWN MONEY, just like we did when my wifes company discontinued offering health insurance, until we went on Medicare and that policy was cancled because we were 65.

Other than the fact that he made a depression much more likely, the other part may be true...if he gets his way, half of the people under 65 and just about all over 65 will lose their coverage. Those under 65 will be kicked into the “public option” and those over 65 will be given the blue pill.
