Here is a poll question as to whom Freepers prefer to be the POTUS. The list is fairly extensive, but even at that there will be those who's choice is not listed. It does however have the usual suspects and category for other.

Interesting thing about this poll is John McCain is not on the list. Doe anyone really think he will even attempt top run?

What might be more interesting is for people to rank each one on a scale of 1-10. Or to rank them in order. Then take the top 5-6 and do a vote.

Good point, I wonder if I can do that with the free poll software Blogspot offers. Hmmmmmm? Maybe, but then again there is other poll software I might be able to configure in such a way.

I do plan on running one tomorrow as to what P/VP ticket Freepers may like.

Watch her bowl over Obama during the election in November 2011
______

What will she be elected to in 2011? And won’t that harm her chances during the Presidential election of 2012?

The Kelo decision was the one where the Govt can take your property and give it to another private property if doing so would increase the "public good" by increasing tax revenues.

Sets a HORRIBLE, unConstitutional precedent.

That is hardball national level politics. Reagan kept the right to prosecute wrongdoing where he found it, he just wasn’t going to look real hard. The Teamsters got a pass on a general housecleaning and they got Ray Donovan as Labor Secretary. Reagan got a union supporting him which gave him blue collar acceptability. That is how the game is played.

If Hunter runs again, he’s certainly got my vote.

"but I really don’t see how her resignation is going to go over well. She is going to get shredded in the debates because of that."

I cannot see any logic in that position.

Her resignation has proven brilliant from a political standpoint. It has increased her ability to control the debate by ten times. Her every Twit, or Facebook note now instantly becomes national news that travels the internet at near light speed, and must be answered by all parties.

Her biggest gain is from the moral issues. Remaining in office would have cost the state in uncountable ways, and diminished the office. She cleverly sidestepped that, while setting up her replacement with the tremendous power of incumbancy. The poll that is the subject of this thread shows the wisdom of all of her choices; why remain in denial?

Palin was selected for her ability to attract a sizeable portion of the electorate (women candidate to offset a black candidate.) A white male just wan’t going to cut it in this PC election. Now that we’re over this silliness, a white male may again be viable. Again, I love Sarah, but Hunter has a long-proven, courageous conservative record under his belt.

“Duncan Hunter joined the teamsters in opposition to NAFTA. Do a search. He made union ties one of his big campaign issues.”

You know, there are quite a few of us real conservatives out here that oppose NAFTA.

After reading all this, I’m beginning to like Duncan Hunter even more than I did before!

Hunter is just an ex congressman.

He would make an excellant Defense Secretary, but falls short even as a Vice President.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand has demonstrated huge executive ability, great intellect, unequaled strategic sense, and the highest moral character, as demonstrated by her resignation as governor when the state was being negatively impacted due to the attacks on her.

Issa has a well documented criminal record too. And no, he is in no way a conservative.
