The Patriot Act is no longer used to interdict terrorists. It is being used on the people of America for Obama Junta ends.

Time to get rid of it.

Agreed... the “war on terror” has been declared over, done, kaput, by those that would use the Patriot Act. They are closing prisoner camps, freeing some, giving others lawyers. Only use for anything in the Patriot Act is nefarious.

Suckers.

The GOP passed the Pat Act. They would have never have supported a Dem suggesting such legislation.

Now ‘conservatives’ will be against it. It was always gonna be abused by Gov’t. But, too many people had political loyalty instead of knowing history.

I’m just glad conservatives are acting like conservatives again, instead of carrying the water.

Perhaps, but the type of enemy we are against requires such tactics if we wish to stop attacks. It is not a good situation. The law would have to have strong penalties for any non anti-terrorist usage.

It boils down to an issue of trust.

Pres GW Bush did a lot of things I do not agree with (borders, immigration, TARP 1, etc), but he was true to his word. He said what he would do, and he did it. You knew where he stood on a position - you may not like it, but you knew. This inspires a level of trust.

Obama has squandered his ‘trust’ on everything from ACORN, his Czars, the automotive takeover, the financial takeover, lies about health and medical takeover and the list goes on and on.

As a people, we need to the President; unfortunately Obama has squandered this basic policy and has accused any who question him of being terrorists, racists and liars.

Now, he is expecting the same level of trust his predecessor had - sorry, ain't gonna get it.

Every time leftists get power,
they use policies intended to protect the citizens from foreign threats
against those citizens who threaten the leftists’ power.

It doesn’t jive.

If the threat of jihad on the homeland is high enough to warrant the Pat Act and other measures, you would think they would at least seal the border.

I’ve been GOP all my of age life. I was always against the Big Brother so-called Patriot Act. Bad idea right from the start.
