ABC News reporter Terry Moran caused quite a commotion tonight on Twitter following after writing: "Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a "jackass" for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."
Although it wasn't long before Moran removed it, with over a million followers, the tweet quickly bounced around Twitter through various users.
Now, an ABC spokesperson explains to POLITICO what happened:

I watched the clip a few times and I have to disagree about kudos to Beyonce. She laughed during the entire Kanye outburst and looked absurdly flattered by it. She should have spoken up then but she just sat laughing. I think her handlers got her to give a few minutes to Taylor Swift.
Well you are not the president calling citizens “jackasses.”
I think the culture and politics are crass enough without the President rolling around in the gutter with ghetto scum West.
Now bammy will have to apologize for saying the word ‘jackass’ and being such a bad example to the kids...

BHO is right on more troops in Afghanistan, putting tariffs on the Chinese unfortunately they will retaliate by saying we will buy less of your debt, corporations taking government money shouldn’t be giving out huge bonuses, and now Kanye.
So, it was a hoax. Yet, a lo of conservatives now believe it.
I’m not so sure President Obama was berating Kenye West. After all the symbol of the Democratic Party is a Donkey(Jackass). Perhaps that was just Obama’s way of saying”he’s one of us”.
The way Democrats have been acting lately it’s no wonder that jackasses across America are protesting that their likeness has been associated with the Democratic party. The jackasses are extremely insulted and their organization, The National Organization of Jackasses Otherwise Known as Equus(N.O.J.O.K.E), may actually sue the party. HeeHaw

^^ link of Kanye West *DEFENDING* Bush during Obama’s inaugural ball. A CNN anchor wanted West to talk about Obama, but he spent a full minute defending Bush...calling him a “human being” with “feelings and hurts too.” It was clearly an apology and reference to his own careless comments in the past and he wasn’t even being asked about Bush in the first place.
What he did was wrong, no doubt, but may I remind all of you that Kanye West is a human being like all of us and only those of us without sin should cast stones.
No I didn’t, those two are understood to be what they are.
