Obama's Anger Weakens Him, and Us
Human Events ^ | SEPTEMBER 14, 2009 | Jed Babbin

Posted on 09/14/2009 7:20:23 AM PDT by RobinMasters

The anger that seemed President Obama’s central theme in his September 9 speech to Congress was palpable, almost shocking. He demanded action now, and threatened to “call out” those who -- he claimed -- were spreading falsehoods about his healthcare nationalization plans.

Obama does not seem to realize that the fire and brimstone of the campaign trail have to be left behind when a man enters the Oval Office. Presidents who exude confidence, competence and principle usually succeed. Anger belies the self-confidence that has been Obama’s trademark. It may soon replace it.

Obama is, again, the incredible shrinking president. His anger -- in speech after speech about healthcare, before and after the address to the joint session of Congress -- is not just unpresidential, but has a constant negative effect, a gradual whittling away of whatever influence he may have abroad that has not already been surrendered in his June speech in Cairo.

The reactions to it are more important than his speech to congress because they may well shape both the fate of Obamacare and the White House’s course on vastly more important matters.

Is there any question that this petty, angry, socialist is in over his head.

That’s the pitfall when the presidency is treated as an entry level position.

He talks about everything but the contents of the bill, and all of the opposition is based on the contents of the bill. He is doing his cause and himself a disservice.

Get used to it, the guy is a pampered pussy that has always had a crowd of worshipers and yes men around him. Of course he gets angry when everyone doesn't agree that he's the chosen one. Wait until he gets really angry and shows how out of touch with reality he really is.

I expect Putin or another leader to play this guy like a harp before long and make Hussein look like a complete fool in front of the whole world. Do you think it was an accident that no one in the receiving line would shake the hand of Hussein when he was in Moscow? No way, it was based on a psychological profile of Hussein the Narcissist as a way to ensure Hussein would completely off balance when the actual talking started.

Regards

I believe you are 100% correct! He will go over the edge IMO during the campaigns next summer and fall. He won’t be able to take the commercials and speeches against him and his Party if he even last that long.

For many of us there never was. For others, no amount of proof will be enough. The cult of personality has driven followers to suicide.

Of course Obama is angry. He truly believes he is right and the rest of the nation just doesn't understand. The fact that he misrepresented himself during the campaign doesn't change his core. He thought once he was elected he would be able to implement what he thought was right and the country would just grumble a little and follow along. That's what usually happens.

What he doesn't see is that this is differences in policy but a collision of world views. This is the sixties in reverse.

Need I remind anyone that this stupid and arrogant sonuvabitch has LESS experience than even the Buffoon from Georgia Jimmy Carter did when he entered the Oval Office in January 1977?

Should read, "This is not just differences in policy but a collision of world views".

When I hear of talk of next summer and fall regarding this issue, it is like listening to McArthur discuss how he will invade Japan in late 1945.

I don’t think this thing will “slowly unravel” that long. I think it’s gonna come apart this winter and early spring. half a million a month going to unemployment is bad, Half a million losing their unemployment AND going on a year of not paying their house payment will be devastating.

The $8,000 tax credit on home purchases is going away. This motivated buyers that would have bought later, or would not have bought at all. The cash for clunkers program pulled buyers out of September-November car sales in an already anemic financial environment. Commercial real estate has been squeezed and will say “uncle” any day. And the BIG wave of foreclosures is coming.

We are coming out of the eye of the storm and the storm significantly intensified while we were here. I firmly believe it is going to get VERY bumpy, very fast.

This would be VERY challenging for the likes of Reagan. Obama? Fuggetaboutit.

We should note the weakening of Obozo, and also work to cleanse both the political parties of corruption. For instance, why does Rangel still run free? Why does Acorn still qualify for government money? Let’s not let the GOP off either! There are too many other instances to quote, but you get the idea.

Title of his next biography: The Audacity of the Lie.

People are finally seeing what we all know - that President Sotero will lie when it suits his purposes and the MSM will promote the lie as the truth. Calling Sarah a liar in that speech hopefully angered more people than the true conservatives out there. Saying illegals would not be covered was a bald-faced lie and I thank God that Joe Wilson said something. I would hope, it may be too much to ask for, that conservatives in Congress would rally around Joe when Pelosi does the censure thing. They should have a series of speeches ready assuming there is a debate - one for each lie in Barry’s speech.

This is how Dems will rule from now on, through intimidation and Henry VIII-style threats. Nancy Pelosi is Wolsey and Axelrod is Cromwell. What or who will stop them?

He demanded action now, and threatened to “call out” those who — he claimed — were spreading falsehoods about his healthcare nationalization plans. >>>>>>>>>>>>

Slight Correction:

He demanded unthinking action NOW ( don’t read HR 3200) based on emotionalism, and threatened to “call out” those who....he claimed...were revealing the truth about his health care demographic warfare plans.

TRUTH:

See it right here:

Summary of Operative Provisions of HR 3200 Health Care Bill:

You think HIS anger weakens HIM? Wait until America’s anger weakens him, RESIGN SCAB!!!!!!!

Demand action? Call them out? What's next - round them up at night? For allegedly lying, or disagreeing? Wow, those are some giant cojones.

He's explained it to us, the people, time and time again, ad nauseum. And the more he explains it, the more people seem to disagree with it and in larger numbers. And his approval rating is still falling. And apparently that tells him NOT that his plan is not what we want or need, but that there must be haters out there, ruining his plan.

Jimmy Carter was not arrogant. He was arguably the weakest President of the 20th century, but he was not arrogant.
