Why's Fox News reporting 10's of 1,000's & now 100's of 100's instead of 2.5 million re: 9/12 march

Why are they still misleading everyone with these bogus numbers?

Because there wasn't 2.5 million?

Because there is NO WAY there were 2.5 million people there. Hundreds of thousands would be more accurate. Based on the photos my estimate would be around 250,000. DO NOT FALSELY INFLATE THESE NUMBERS. You’re just playing into the libs hands.

I saw a clip on Sunday where FOX was touting they reported it when nobody else was...but Saturday morning FOX was running thier usual business block so I was watching CNN which was reporting the march ...now nobody was giving accurate size thingies, but when I got a link from FR on that traffic cam on 14th Street I thought OMG this is bigger than anti war marches in the 60’s...I doubt we ever get a true size but it was way over one million.
And FOX is not on our side. They merely report more stuff from right than anybody else...IMHO.

I’m hearing it was closer to 1 million.
What is the official estimate?

But there WERE over a million. There would have been more if those stuck outside could have gotten in, and millions more who supported them even though we couldn’t be there in person.
Except for Fox, no one has even mentioned the rallies and protests taking place all over the country.
They ignore us at their peril.

My guess is they are purposefully low balling so that as the numbers actually come in they can say the event was much bigger than first reported. If they did it the other way and had to reduce the numbers, it would give the liberals something to make derogatory comments about, and it would have demotivated some (not all, not most) but some of the participants. Fox knows what it is doing in this case, and I applaud them. The truth will come out. Someone has photos......

The FAA is part of the Federal Government, right?
Don’t you know that no approvals were given to fly over the Capitol at that time?

I think the reason is that there was no authoritative count. And worse, there seems to be no really high quality images or video showing the full extent of the march that would allow an estimate to be made.

My question is: why no News helicopters in the air? Could be they are not allowed over D.C. Could be that the Obama administration didn't allow them on this specific day for obvious reasons. Could be that Fox has no D.C. helicopters and CNN knows enough to stay on the ground with close up shots.

Who knows?

Because, like all other "news" organizations, they simply take what is on the Associated Press wire and rewrite it. This is the number AP is claiming so they are simply accepting it as the "official" number.

The problem with the "Media" is they simply regurgitate what AP spews out. And AP as an incestuous relationship with the Democrat National Committee. So everything that gets reported as "news" filters thru the biases of people with direct personal links to the DNC.

What we need is for some smart Conservative to start a counter to AP and get FOX to dump AP for real journalists rathern then Asso Propaganda's output.

I haven’t heard 2.5 million. ABC and Michelle Malkin on Saturday both reported top between 1.2 and 1.5 with most estimates in the high hundreds of thousands.

The Park Service won’t do official estimates anymore after the Million Man March.

That being said, Beck said this morning that there are people in the DC police who are saying it was the biggest crowd ever. I don’t know about that but it was huge.

I was there. There is NO WAY that were just 250,000 there. That is way too low.

A million march to US Capitol to protest against 'Obama the socialist

Don’t be distracted by the numbers!!
The message has been sent and despite the reactions by the pols and the media be assured they got the message.
The war will be long and we need to persevere regardless of winning a skirmish or losing one. People are waking up and we will not go down without a fierce fight!!

In my dream world, there would be news outlets with investigative journalists. These guys, you see, would go out and get photos and maybe even satellite imagery of events like The Million Man March, and Obama's Inauguration, and the 9/12 gathering, and they would do a two page color spread in Time, or Newsweek, or the NYT and demonstrate that one of these gatherings was the largest, and provide some estimation algorithm so that anyone can review and say, "Yup, I see which one was biggest".

But news organizations don't do that stuff anymore.
