They better. We need to first take back the Republican Party from the RINOS. RINOS are getting the message. You will face primary challenges. They are going to have to move our way. Squeaky hinges get the oil. For years the taxtakers have been squeaking. Now it is the TAXPAYERS turn.
To: yongin
If Bill Clinton gave money to fund the Tea Party Movement to weaken O and set up a dhimmicrat primary challenge would that entitle him to conservative support?
Both questions are asinine. Conservative support can’t be bought because conservatism is a core value. Romney is not a conservative ergo he does not deserve conservative support simply because he opens his wallet.

is a leader and they do it on their own dime.

I mean this in the nicest possible way,
Are you out of your MIND?!?!
I don’t care what Mitt does with his money- and the answer is HELL, NO!
It should be apparent by now that the great majority of tea party folks are not for sale.

I doubt it. Anyway, deep down, Romney is more of the same; and, it would be a mistake to allow him to take over the movement.

Under such a scenerio, the Tea Party organizers wouldn't have to worry about raising money for rallies. A truly grassroots movement funds itself. This is a true grassroots movement, very powerful.
As for leadership, I expect we will see new leaders emerge from these Tea Parties. There are many awakened, fire in the belly, citizens out there ready to take on the challenge.
Our future looks promising.

Mitt is a Massachusetts Yankee. He is therefore not a viable candidate regardless of how he spends his money.
Being governor of a Loyalist state is proof enough he is damaged goods.
(Loyalists are those who preferred the King and still look to Europe as a model. They live here but should not be counted as Americans)

No way. Romney has not a single value in common with those of the Tea Party folks. He’s so statist I think he’s even moved beyond RINO.

If Romney “bought” the Tea Party movement, the movement would quickly breakdown. Everything Romney touches withers and dies.

I was at an impromptu 'rally' yesterday, the object of which was to line a highway between two points with as many flags, signs, and people as possible on short notice. It was a beautiful thing to see. the response from passing traffic was almost 100% enthusiastic. You can't even organize, let alone 'purchase' something like that. Purge those nasty thoughts from your mind.:-)
