James O'Keefe's foray into filmmaking may cost him a few years in the slammer.
O'Keefe and fellow conservative activist/budding investigative journalist Hannah Giles were the ones who dressed up like a pimp and a prostitute, respectively (or not), and went to the offices of the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) in D.C. and Baltimore looking for advice on how to buy a house.
The resulting video caused quite a commotion and resulted in the firing of four ACORN employees, as well as other repercussions for those who support the organization.
In Maryland, it's against the law to tape a person without their prior permission. It's also illegal to "willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio," Baltimore City State Attorney Patricia Jessamy said in a statement released late Friday.
She added: "The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to five years."
The Baltimore City State Attorney's Office is investigating the matter.
If you put a search in google for Baltimore sting, you will get a few links to stings by law enforcement.
I heard this morning ACORN was going to sure Fox. But it seemed more of a media ploy to say the tapes were cut and not truthful of what transpired. Then whoever it was on foxsaid the criminal parts the ACORN employees talked about could not have been cut. It was clear.
I can see Obama on his personal blackberry, Okay try this one. It worked for me a few times. If not call me back I have a few other strategies.
I know Obama is talking to them. If he loses ACORN he loses next election for sure.
kill the messenger
move along, nothing to see here.
The current Mayor Sheila Dixon is (allegedly) corrupt as well....
If my memoryis working, I seem to remember that they went after Linda Tripp under the same law.
I think that these are idle threats that are being made to prevent the release of other tapes, from other ACORN offices.
ahhh... prompts Linda Tripp memories... Lewinsky....
Just how many doctors do they think will agree to those term? The medical schools will be reduced to accepting anyone who applies. Top students will not want to work in public health for ten years.
I think everyone saw through ACORN lies who say the video. But then look at what people believe about Obama.
I don’t think ACORN will sue. I think Obama, Barney Franks & Maxine Waters will find ways to funnel money to them through their multiple groups when funding stops.
This?
Arresting Tailhook: The Prosecution of Sexual Harassment in the Military
Authors: J. R. Chema; JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL’S SCHOOL CHARLOTTESVILE VA
Abstract: This thesis examines the nature and extent of sexual harassment in the military and alternative theories to prosecuting conduct that is deemed sexual harassment. The U.S. Navy has adopted a punitive regulation that directly criminalizes sexual harassment, and has pending a legislative proposal to add a specific article to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) prohibiting sexual harassment. In contrast to this direct criminalization approach, the existing UCMJ contains numerous provisions that can be used to prosecute underlying conduct that is perceived to constitute sexual harassment. This thesis examines the Navy regulatory prohibition and the proposed statute, and compares them with current UCMJ articles as means for prosecuting sexual harassment conduct. It concludes that the direct criminalization of sexual harassment poses serious constitutional and practical problems that need not be faced since the existing provisions of the UCMJ provide a sufficient substantive body of law to prosecute sexual harassment offenses.
Private citizens wouldn’t have to do the dirty work if the goobermint didn’t drop the ball.
ACORN should be shut down under the RICO laws.

its Mike Nifong part dieux
Maryland prosecutors indicted Linda Trippp for taping Monica Lewinsky, and they'll go after these people.
Keep an eye on this one.
You might be right - the MSM has done a blackout on the story - but they won't be able to do that if ACORN sues. And even if ACORN won - which I doubt - everyone on the planet would see those tapes - over and over - and maybe the other ones.
ACORN and the liberals would lose big time.
Powerful liberals want to keep their lies about race - and lies about non-profit organizations - and lies about us etc., going.
It's bad enough for them that the tea party movement is crushing the lie about all of us being "fringe and violent etc." The more liberal lies we take down, the more power they lose...

Hannah should star---she's gorgeous. Audiences would flock to see her.
If she auditioned in those "brief---almost invisible---prostie outfits," Hollywood would go ballistic.
Will do. If charges are filed, the tapes will be broadcast on the nightly news over and over again. This will be even richer if breitbart and/or Glenn Beck continue to reveal the existence of other tapes from multiple Acorn offices, and just keep releasing them in dribs and drabs.
