Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.
Free Republic 9/11 Candlelight Vigil from Washington DC
When I started checking it about a half hour ago, the crowd ended where the second building on the right begins. Now the crowd extends so far down the street that you can’t tell by that webcam where it ends!! I am so proud of my fellow Americans!! I wish so badly that I could be there.
[Yes, Obama is countering the rally with his own in Minnesota at 1 p.m., the same time as the Tea Party rally at the Capitol!]
What a sorry POS! This is the American people’s day to be heard!
Here's a zoom in on the camera and an arrow showing what direction it is pointing.

The march is ON!
Wow that makes my heart swell with pride at the number of patriots willing to stop their lives if for a day or two to speak out against big government. I wish I had the money and the ability to be their right now.
See you there!
[Who is covering it live on TV?? I would prefer NOT to watch CNN...is Fox covering live now?]
Yes. FNC has been showing a split screen. I want them to be on the ground. They also need to be showing overhead shots.
LOL.... I just saw on MSNBC ,,, they HAD TO report on this and the huge crowd.... loving it !!!
AWESOME! You are a dear for posting that pic! Thank you!
Three of the television sets were tuned into the local NBC news affiliate at Gold’s Gym this morning. They did a long interview with a man in a Stars & Stripes shirt and a cowboy hat. Volume was muted but was able to read signs over his shoulders about tort reform and other various slams on Obama’s health care plan.
There’s a report on their site with a place to leave comments here

It looks like these revolutionaries are ready to storm the Bastille!
Thanks. That’s good - we’ll get good coverage plus he’ll be safe. Can’t imagine how overwhelmed he must feel. It will keep him encouraged in the midst of all the attacks and threats.

For those wanting to follow from home. Looks like the trolls(media matters) are at this site trying to downplay the crowds. It could use some ‘FReeping!
