Liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org is jumping on the Rob Miller fundraising bandwagon, 36 hours after Miller's 2010 opponent, Rep. Joe Wilson, yelled "You lie!" at President Obama.
Miller, a Democrat working on a rematch, has raised more than $750,000 since then, and MoveOn.org sent an e-mail to supporters Friday asking them to help put the challenger campaign over the $1 million mark.
A spokesman for Wilson says he's had a post-ouburst fundraising boost as well, that has topped $700,000.
Wilson posted a video on his campaign Web site, where he also describes himself as sorry only up to a point: "I should not have disrespected the President during his speech. But I am not sorry for fighting back against the dangerous policies of liberal Democrats. I will not back down."
Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., also sent out a fundraising e-mail Thursday night asking her backers to give to Miller and announcing a $1,000 donation from her political action committee.
The fundraising surge for Miller has already expanded his campaign war chest exponentially -- the Democrat re-match candidate had just $49,000 in the bank at the end of June while Wilson had more than $200,000.
Miller lost to Wilson by 7 percentage points in the 2008 2nd district race despite being outspent 2-to-1. Democrats now hope that on more even financial footing, Miller could close that gap in 2010.

Lady called Hannity this afternoon and said she donated.
Love it.

Fast-forward to about 45:50 to see it. And at 46:05, take careful note of who you see in the lower left corner of the frame.
Hint: he didn't vote "present" this time.
Democrats can dream on. They won’t be gaining any seats in 2010.
Ping.
Wilson has raised over $700,000 according to this, and the last I’ve seen from Miller is over $800,000.
They can donate as much as they want, but Wilson still comes out looking better than his oppo. I guess they can use the money to bus in some voters and pay ACORN.
Wilson’s donations are from individuals.
MoveOn is funding his opponent and scrambling to offset real voters stand on the situation.

You can always count on Democrats to throw money down a rathole!
Don’t underestimate the stupidity of our congressmen. You can almost count on some scandal that will cost us a republican seat,
However this seat will not be one of them. If the dems couldn’t win it 2008, they don’t stand a chance in 2010.
Difference here is that Miller was heavily in debt. Some of that money will go to pay it off. Wilson comes out ahead here.
Let them waste their money. Wilson is a hero and republicans will crawl if they have to, to get to the polls to vote for him.
Oh boy! It’s gonna be a free-for-all in the House from now to election day. Just kidding.
I sent Wilson $20 yesterday. It was the first time I’ve ever donated money to a politician, and I’ve never even set foot in South Carolina. I’ll probably give him another $20 after pay day.
As much as I want to believe republicans are going to regain power in 2010 I definitley have my doubts unless the republican party repudiates these moderates and rino's. This has not happened yet, so I'm not so sure republicans are going to gain anything in 2010!
Wilson is a West Point grad. Isn’t their motto something about, “We will not lie, cheat or steal or tolerate those who do?” Seems like it’s something like that.
I loved the looks on Pelosi’s and Biden’s face when that happen. It amazes me that a President can get up in front of the American public and lie the way that Clinton did and Obama does and not expect a challenge. Of course the mainstream media will never “call him out” for lying. I guess Joe politically should have waited until after the speech to call him a liar but I respect him for speaking his heart.
