There is the dread of leaving the house that morning. People might stare, or worse, yell insults.
Prayers are more intense, visits with family longer. Mosques become a refuge.
Eight years after 9/11, many U.S. Muslims still struggle through the anniversary of the attacks. Yes, the sting has lessened. For the younger generation of Muslims, the tragedy can even seem like a distant memory. "Time marches on," said Souha Azmeh Al-Samkari, a 22-year-old student at the University of Dayton in Ohio.
Yet, many American Muslims say Sept. 11 will never be routine, no matter how many anniversaries have passed.

I'm guessing the Star Trib publishes this same article every year, only changing what anniversary it will be.
I’d be more worried for the Sikhs, Arab Christians, Hindus and others who get mistaken for the followers of the paedo-false-prophet, and then get murdered as a result.

Hiding? I don’t think so! Just in time for 9-11, I rec’d this email from my sis in the SF east bay area today:
“There is a massive..I mean massive billboard right off the main freeway down here 680.. (Just after Sun Valley Mall) that says:
(very large) ISLAM
Then it listed the phone number to learn about Islam and how to convert.... The word covered the entire billboard...Dang......sent a chill to my bones!”
Just...damn!
But deep in my inner psyche, I kind of wished there would have been a backlash after 9/11.

This was published after 9/11 but before Gulf War II. Scary, but still relevant even though it is an older book.
8 years and no backlash? Sounds like nothing to complain about.
Have the muzzies been cowering and hiding in fear or actively attacking every institution and intimidating the mainstream of society?

And why don’t they go live in one of the many Muslim paradises scattered across the globe? Oh, that’s right....they are all war zones for some reason.

Perhaps, if the majority of the Muslims denounced VOCIFEROUSLY and very PUBLICLY, fellow ISLAMOFASCIST terrorist, (AND WILLINGLY ASSIMILATED AS AMERICANS WITHOUT TRYING TO FOIST THEIR 7th C. RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS ON US INFIDELS) they just might find a populace willing to embrace them and welcome them with open arms (like we have every other immigrant in the past)and not treat them with a jaundiced eye and skepticism as many try to impose their Sahria-tenets on us and their leadership (such as CAIR) are apologists and mouth-pieces for every bad acting Islamist in the US and the world.

Let us NEVER forget those nearly 3,000 innocent Americans who were murdered by the Islamists.
