NEA in politics flap
Politico ^ | 9-10-09 | Ben Smith

The communications director for the National Endowment for the Arts is no longer in his job amid a flap over suggestions he suggested artists work to further President Obama's legislative agenda.

A conservative artist writing on the site Big Hollywood first complained that the official, later identified as Yosi Sargent, had been on a conference call with artists aimed at furthering President Obama's legislative agenda -- a bit of a no-no for the agency, which does its best to stay apolitical.

Huffington Post's Ryan Grim reported that Sergant had been "asked to resign," and played it as another scalp -- like Van Jones' -- for Glenn Beck.

Beck hasn’t won anything. Does anyone actually believe Van Jones or Yosi Sargent are just going to dry up and blow away? Does anyone actually believe the next people to fill these slots won’t also have socialists views? We need to keep track of those forced out and keep hammmering away at those people or positions meant to further socialism.
++++++++++++++++

First of all, it’s the American people that have won here, and what have they won? More accountability from the unaccoutable and unelected part of the Obama Admin.

The more this happens and the more light is shed, the less likely it will be that socialists/communists can be brought in and actually DO anything.

That’s a great victory, in my book.

And it needs be followed by about 3 dozen more, leading up to 11/2010.

Obama: “I sense a disturbance in the force...”
Flunkie: “That would be Glenn Beck, master”

ROFLMAO! I love it!

The victory in the title of the thread refers only to his resignation. Resignation by itself won't stop this person from working to further the socialist agenda nor will it prevent another socialist from filling the position.

Did you miss the story about ACORN - Baltimore instructing people to cheat on their taxes and advising them how to whore out teenagers bound here from Latin America while writing them off as dependents on the taxes as well? Beck broke that this morning with Breitbart.

Beck is chipping away at that iceburg.

If the MSM was doing its job, this government would be a lot more functional. Look at the effect this one honest investigative reporter has.

Beck hasn’t won anything? What has to happen to convince you Beck wins? Does the target he chooses have to die or somethng close?

Probably reassigned to "food and beverages" czar.

And his license application goes back to the bottom of the stack.

The victory is in demanding and receiving some, even *any* accountability. If he is only reassigned, we need to press the matter further, until it is explained how such a recalitrant, who acts against the interest of the NEA and its mission can stay.

Does its best not getting caught advancing the liberal agenda.

This weasel is still working in the NEA so I don’t see much to get excited about. Another weasel has moved in to take the slot so nothing has really been gained that I can see.

Sooner or later the general public will get that there is a common denominator to all of these wackos, be they czars, advisors or NEA communications flaks: Obama.
