Specter wants Wilson censured
Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Penn.), who's looked at POTUS from both sides now, was just on the Bill Press radio show suggesting the South Carolina firebrand Joe Wilson be censured for his heckle heard round the world.
Said the Republican-turned-Dem:
"He apologized immediately afterward but I don't think that’s adequate... If an apology is the consequence of an outburst I think we can expect more – that’s not a sufficient penalty that’s not a sufficient price to pay.. I'm not saying the guy should be kicked out of the House… But there ought to be some rebuke, reprimand, censure -- something that will discourage that kind of conduct in the future. If you do that to the President, it's open season."
Earlier on his show, Press spoke with House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC), who said Wilson should "man up" and apologize directly to Obama -- or that Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) should mea culpa the White House on his behalf.
I sure hope Pennsylvania does us all a favor and elects Toomey to the PA senate seat....then this bozo, Spectator, can go home and learn to fish in his retirement.
It is ridiculous. It is okay for him from the bully pulpit to say Republicans are lying but not okay to be challenged on his lies which were numerous.
Read last night that Emmanuel went off on Wilson.
Specter, the traitor, needs to keep his mouth shut about Republicans period. His comments on Wilson were out of line. I will be so happy to see him defeated in PA.
Specter was and is a CLYMER! At least now he is their CLYMER. Actually he is a traitor giving them 60 votes until Kennedy died.
We need to support what Wilson said because Obama lied through the speech as usual.
I wrote Minority Leader Boehner giving my support to Wilson. He needs to hear from everyone supporting Wilson.

Not a peep out of Specter on Rangel which is a lot more then shouting ‘you lie’ — more of the hypocricy of the Senior Senator aka Traitor from PA.

I do & plan to send a card or make a campaign contribution. His official site was down last nite & I was not sure the links to his campaign contribution were valid.
Really bugs me to hear our stale GOP leadership attacking him—esp. since
1. He was correct and
2. He apologized before speech had even ended.
GOP attacks are tantamount to friendly fire :(
LOL!! I like your idea — that is one resolution that would go absolutely no where. Also be nice to add in Rangel for his fraud and Pelosi for call us all names. The list could go on and on when it comes to Pelosi.

Regardless of Wilson’s censure do you object if we discover whether Obama lied or not? Perhaps more to the point, do you object if Obama lies?

What makes you think I don't? Because I understand that a Member of Congress made a mistake with an emotional outburst and why the apology was offered? (Though I totally disagree with him being made to call the White House, that wasn't necessary).
Look through my posts, you'll find a whole bunch of 'em where I call 0bama a liar my own self, one of the very few here who has defended the pediatricians and GP's of the nation from outrageous defamation. Where were you??
