The Dead Sea is alive with oil, believes Yitzchak Tshuva, who heads the consortium that found billions of dollars of gas in the Mediterranean.
Investors' hopes of finding oil in Israel are based on seismic surveys that estimate that Dead Sea oil reserves are worth nearly half a billion dollars.

The oil you feel on your body when you get out of the Dead Sea is your own skin oil. That’s one of the beneficial parts of swimming there. It flushes the pores. They don’t recommend staying in longer than 45 minutes...
This may be the same pitch (hey, a pun!) by possibly the same group that has been pitching it for years.
