Bad example. Dissent, in fact, was patriotic back in those days.

I am glad Wilson said what he did, when he did. O can certainly use a dose of reality!
Besides, any guy who sits down in front of an a%$ clown like Rev. Wright for 20 years and takes THAT kind of lunatic rant without blinking, can certainly survive a duly elected representative of the American voters calling him what he IS!

When the President called out his opponents, what did he expect would happen, pistols at dawn?
To: ianschwartz
I’m having a a hard time detecting the boos. Is there more to this clip?
To: ianschwartz
Well, there must be a video somewhere of their apology, right?

Rep. Wilson simply “spoke truth to power”.
Apparently the mistake he made was to NOT give his speech tickets to some screeching Code Pink b!tches like the dim congress person did when Bush was speaking.

In some ways this outburst was good. I think maybe it is getting more attention today than the content (or lack thereof) in 0’s speech!
However, it would probably have been better if he had not done it. Now they will use this to raise sympathy for 0 and their cause.

Joe Wilson is my hero. Obama gave this speech to get his health care plan back on track after a summer of town hall meetings attacking the lies. Instead of the pundits talking today about the “plan”, they are talking about the lies and the unrest out there. The last thing Axelrod wanted was someone calling Obama out when Obama was calling out the Republicans. We scots-irish redneck southerners have always distrusted big government, especially the imperial monarchy type and its courtiers sucking up to the king. F R E E D O M. Joe Wilson is the William Wallace of today!

My Cherokee ancestors can also offer some opinions on the benevolence of the Federal Gooberment.
