A source sends on the talking points the White House is circulating to allies in advance of President Obama's speech, most of them reiterating familiar themes of momentum and security.
But the White House has also chosen specifically to focus on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and evidently to make her the face of the opposition, or to respond to her ability to project herself into the debate. She is the only Republican named in the talking points.
Here's that section:
On Gov. Palin's Attacks
Every non-partisan organization that has looked at her claims say they are false. And the ideas in her op-ed are both scary and risky. Eliminating Medicare and giving our seniors vouchers instead is a bad idea that we shouldn't adopt.

They are fearful.
They aren’t very smart, are they? The GOP doesn’t have a clearly defined leader to rally around. By focusing their energies on the charismatic and popular Sarah Palin, they’re giving us one.
Once you start singing dancing the ‘shuck and jive’ can’t be stopped. The lies just keep on keeping on.
Something doesn’t have to be “written in” a plan for it to be true. Forinstance if Obama and dems had a program to turn our farms into “collectives” we would be right in saying that hundreds of thousands of Americans would starve. Because everywhere farms are turned into collectives, people starve. But it’s NOT WRITTEN in the reform. Sarah is right...
It seems leaving the governorship in Alaska was a great move for Sarah. She’s clearly gearing up for a 2012 run.
Really? Does Palin advocate eliminating Medicare?
This says something bad about Obama -- why is the president attacking private citizens?
It also says something bad about the Republicans -- why doesn't the president see THEM as the opposition?
Poor Obama, having a private citizen constantly smack his ass down. I hope he’s wearing dark pants tonight. Even when he was talking to Robin Roberts(Who was having an orgasm when she was speaking to him) talked about death panels. She is SO in his head
Because everywhere farms are turned into collectives, people starve. But it's NOT WRITTEN in the reform. Sarah is right...
“Eliminating Medicare and giving our seniors vouchers instead is a bad idea that we shouldn’t adopt.”
I thought Obama wanted to, if not eliminate Medicare, at least severely cripple it, given that everyone knows it’s broke. I thought the public option was dreamed up, in part, to soak up old fogies who get kicked off the sinking Medicare ship.
What is it with these Democrat pedophiles ~ can't control their urges for a minute or what?
No, this is another ridiculous straw man from the White House.
They lie and mis-characterize her op-ed.
This is how it is with liberals and their socialist policies, they can’t face an open, honest debate.
So....it sounds to me like tonight’s message will just be more of the same. He’ll stand there and lie through his teeth about what IS and IS NOT in the bill, poking fun with condescension at anyone who speaks the truth. He hasn’t ‘heard’ a word the protestors have said and he has every intention of keeping some kind of public option. I think American’s have heard just about enough from Obama...we are long overdue for tuning HIM out. FOX wasn’t suppose to air this, but it looks like they are.
Since when do Democrats have any use for "non-partisan organizations".
They give their hate groups patriotic misnomers and think everyone will be as easily misled as their lemming obamabots that they're "non-partisan".
Ah, would that be the ACORN and SEIU reports?
Congrats White House you feel compelled to go one-on-one with an ex-governor’s facebook page. Yet, you say she is irrelevant. BTW you do know what her b-ball nickname was, don’t you?
What do expect from a party that ran John McLame as their representive?
