The ball is in President Obama's court to reach out to Republicans if he wants a bipartisan bill on healthcare reform, House GOP Leader John Boehner (Ohio) said Monday morning.
Boehner told reporters that the president has not invited House GOP leaders to the White House for meetings on healthcare reform since the end of April.

The list, ping
Do we know who is giving the Republican response yet?
And to think that Obama lies, and says this has bi-partisan support..............sarcasm off.
Yes, a doctor from Lousianna. Don’t have his name — perhaps someone else can supply it.
maxine waters was stouting off last night on msnbc panel on how they (the dem’s) have tried to have talks with the repub’s but that it is the repub”s that do not want to be involved in any talks on health reform...i can’t think of one meeting they have been invited too...even yesterday obama was meeting with reid and pelosi at the white house...where was the repub’s..??...how many closed door meetings have the dem’s had and locked out the repub’s...??...these people think we are idiots and can’t see through what they are saying...
Obozo is going to try to blame Republicans tonight. What a liar he is.
I guess Snowe and Collins, may not be considered Republicans anymore. Which is fitting.
Given that O hasn’t been in the White House since April, it’s not surprising.
Sarah Palin’s prebuttal was perfect.
this is something that needs to be used by the GOP tonight in their rebuttle...that and the needless rush by the rats to get something done ASAP...
I think it’s more important to point out that the thing won’t take effect until 2013! So why the urgency???
BTW, this from Rassmussen...
Members of Congress are eligible for the same private health care programs available to all other federal workers, with the government paying two-thirds of the premium and the Congress member paying one-third. They also can opt for access to a medical team at the U.S. Capitol and use of the major Army and Navy hospitals in Washington, D.C., for which they pay as if part of an HMO, although this coverage is subsidized by taxpayers.
Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports, said, In the Federalist Papers, written to promote passage of the U.S. Constitution, it was noted that the only way to effectively control a legislator was to insure that they come home and live under the rules they write for the rest of us. In the 21st century, that doesnt happen anymore. So voters seem to be applying the same logic in reverse by saying that they would like a chance to play by the same rules that Congress has written for themselves.
“maxine waters was stouting off last night...”
Forgive me for presuming you meant “spouting off”.
But for Maxine Waters and lots of liberal nutburgers,
“stouting off” sounds like a natural term for when they
start shouting in defense of their indefensible viewpoints.
Now that it is news, there will be some kind of response. Cowards that they are, it may only be when they smell blood in the water. :)
Is it just me, or do the headline and text of the article disagree on who is ducking who in this mess?
lol...i guess i should use spell check more often....but anyways no one could get a word in edgewise and they kept trying to cut her off....
“Do we know who is giving the Republican response yet?”
Will it be that TOUGH conservative, John McCain? Surely HE’LL stand up for his party and not cave in to the democrats!
heheheh... I crack myself up sometimes...
THIS PART HAS GOT TO OUT THERE!!
Earlier this year, GOP leaders sent a letter to the president in May stating that they would like to work with the administration to find “common ground” on healthcare reform.
But the administration responded with a tersely worded letter indicating that they had healthcare reform under control. WHAT?
