Democrats losing seniors

Nowhere is the fallout from Obama’s healthcare proposals more evident than among the elderly, and nothing is more dangerous permanently for the Democratic Party than their increasing disaffection.

A Wall Street Journal poll taken last week reflects a gain by Republicans in party identification, closing the gap from 40-33 in April in favor of the Democrats to a Democratic margin of only 35-34. The data reflects that one-third of this six-point closure of the partisan gap comes from a major shift among the elderly — the only demographic group to have moved dramatically.

In April, the elderly broke evenly on their party identification, with 37 percent supporting each political party. Now the Republicans hold a lead, at 46-33. This 13-point closure among the 14 percent of the vote that is cast by those over 65 represents two of the six points of closure nationally.

No other group changed nearly as much. Neither liberals nor minorities nor any other age group moved nearly as dramatically as did the elderly. The Journal’s pollsters noted that “perhaps the most striking movement is with senior citizens.”

KEYWORDS:
"The elderly see his proposals for what they are: a massive redistribution of healthcare away from the elderly and toward a population that is younger, healthier and richer but happens, at the moment, to lack insurance. (Remember that the uninsured are, by definition, not elderly, not young and not in poverty — and if they are, they are currently eligible for Medicare, Medicaid or SCHIP and do not need the Obama program.)"

Well said.

That’s okay.

With the new shovel-ready Obamacare Plan, the elderly will simply be snuffed. We all know that the dead always vote Democrat.

The DemonRATs get to solve two problems at once like that. Eliminate a somewhat perfidious voting block and permanently convert their votes to Democrat.

See?

That was easy.

That’s generally what happens when you give a group of people the idea that you want to kill them off.

They obvjously believe that they don’t need the elderly, who, after all, would not be good marchers in a fascist takeover.

That’s generally what happens when you give a group of people the idea that you want to kill them off.

They get that idea after watching Marxist Obama set about confiscating that which they worked their very lives for, ridiculing and replacing their way of life, and removing all true hope for unencumbered success from their adult children and grandchildren.

And, as a group, they are harder to fool than those little whippersnappers.

They do have social networks, and they do....vote.

What Obama will succeed in doing is creating a new Democratic party. Gone will be the senior and Jewish voters who have traditionally voted Democrat and I think many of the blue collar Reagan Democrats will permanently leave the party. By shifting the Democrats far to the left many independents will also no longer feel aligned with them.

The new Democratic Party will consist of the far left radicals, liberal elitist snobs, union zealots and the ever loyal African Americans. Obama is counting on a new Hispanic voting block including millions of illegals to become new voters to offset party losses from seniors and independents.

All so true...

So why can’t those Ivy-educated “megabrains” figure that out??

At the recent Tea Party Express event in Las Vegas, I was surprised to see how many older people in attendance. I would estimate that about 75% of the attendees were over 60. Of course, the event was at 11 AM on a weekday morning, but I have been to other rallies where the average age was much lower.

It does appear that the Democrat Party is throwing seniors under the bus, but they have another group ready to replace them: illegal aliens. It is pretty clear that the Dems are counting on increasing the voter fraud stats. Harry Reid has endorsed same day voter registration in Nevada as well as railed against requiring ID at the polls. Since no proof of citizenship is required for voter registration, and after the election voter fraud is pretty much considered a moot point (unless Republicans are being accused of it), we can expect even more voter fraud in the next election.

This is also what happens when you try to point out the obvious to those who have become accustomed to living on government largesse. Social Security and Medicare are bankrupting this country, and the Democrats don’t have any better ideas than the Republicans did about dealing with the problem.

Two programs for the price of one ... ObamaCare (DeathCare, if you will) and amnesty for all our undocumented guests, since they will be covered, too. Maybe that's three programs for the price of one, since the IRS will be enforcer and collector and the reacher into the bank accounts of the citizenry. How about four programs ... the gift of the best health care for unions and politicians, since neither group will participate in ObamaCare (DeathCare, if you will).

I'm sure there are more benefits to be derived from ObamaCare (DeathCare, if you will) ... makes me think of the American people set up like bowling pins, and here comes the Master Bowler, winding up for the strike.

Pray that this winds up in the gutter, dear FRiends ... pray.

Look at the Ads on TV for Social Security Disability. That program is being abused - and the seniors know every inner city gang-banger is getting 60 years of social security payments - and they ‘ll break the system...
