Every time I write about how the modern culture seems dead-set on destroying the confidence of America's little boys, I am swamped with e-mail. It seems that everyone with a son or grandson has a story to tell about how manhood and chivalry are under attack. Last week I heard from a dad, Bill, who echoes the sentiments of many: "The boys are getting emasculated and wimpy/passive as they're now intimidated by girls due to fear of sex harassment charges and pro-female/anti male societal/educational tilts."
Sadly, he's right. As a mom of two sons and a youth leader I have seen how boys cringe when television shows depict boys as crude and stupid while the girls are always smart and powerful. I've experienced their confusion when girls snub them for opening the door. One day I observed the pained looks on the faces of male highschool students when a teacher explained that a major assignment would be to watch a movie of their choice and write a paper on how women in the film are discriminated against.
The attacks on our boys are endless and very purposeful: if they are taught to be nothing more than crude dolts then they will become emasculated men who keep to themselves. And the women will end up wearing the pants.
I've also observed on countless occasions a minor, but powerful, display of how ours is quickly becoming a culture where men are having trouble being men: females struggling alone to lift a heavy suitcase into the overhead compartment on a plane all the while surrounded by men who pretend they don't see.

I would add that this trend toward emasculation is also destroying the dignity and potential of countless young boys.
Decide to raise your sons to be gentlemen - that means teaching them to be both courageous and considerate. To create young men of valor, you have to spend a significant amount of time deprogramming them of the lies the culture bombards them with at every turn. Talk about the raunchy scenes in TV shows, commercials and music that depict males as irrelevant or disposable. Or better yet, filter out those messages altogether.
If you are a dad or the primary male in the life of a boy, the most effective method to ensure that he becomes a man of dignity is to consciously model the behavior for him. If you are a mom with no positive adult male to help you raise your son, find one.
Seek out great organizations like the Boy Scouts or find a church family that will help you. In the meantime, develop a habit of reading stories of brave, kind men so they can imagine themselves becoming that way too. America really needs more than just a few good men - help your son be one of them.

A great deal of Texans are raised with Southern Hosptitality, my intent was to riducule her and embarass her in front of a crowd. Her comments, while rude were directed for my ears only. My reply, was intended for everyone within 20 feet to hear. The goal was to send a message to her, in no uncertain terms; that attacking a person for extending a favor would be met with public humiliation.
Perhaps the next gentleman who pays her some respect will be met with 'tolerance'; you know, the stuff we Conservatives are expected to show, but Liberals are exempt from.
Same here - and I have taught my daughters to expect it. They wait for me to open doors for them (so does their mom), and they expect (without apology) for boys to do so as well. Raises some eyebrows, but tough. They’ve said that they pity the first guy who pulls up in the driveway and honks the horn for one of them to come out. And yes, I have actually been cleaning my Sigma .40 cal at the kitchen table when a boy came to pick up one of my daughters. Call me stereotypical...

In the traditional feminist movement of the past 100 years or so, the death culture of our legalized abortion has spelled defeat for both women and society. This defeat we now almost see the full effects of, especially under the atheistic socialist administration of Barack Barry Hussein Obama Soetoro and fellow Democratic (socialist) Party politicians and eugenicists.
Radical retraining of America's boys has gone on long enough and its failure is undeniable - boys and girls are different and pretending they are not causes serious psychological harm and social, civil, cultural and criminal problems.
The gender neutral child rearing has not resulted in equality for all people, what it has resulted in is feminine men and no real men and masculine women and no real ladies. The role of men has been confused and the role of women has been confused and the men and women are now confused and are doomed to the same failure on an ongoing basis, as long as we cling to the disproved feminist philosophy of the past several decades.
I will never understand the mindset of someone who scolds a person for being courteous. The people who work in our office building are constantly holding the door for each other, irrespective of gender. It is merely polite. I would never even assume that a man held a door for me because I was female, but who cares if he did? I assume such a courtesy is being offered in a generous spirit, and would NEVER NEVER want to be responsible for discouraging anyone from being thoughtful about others.
As a short female, I am forced to ask for help in reaching the top shelf in the grocery store occasionally, and usually I ask a tall man rather than a woman, because there are more tall men! It is good to be acquainted with reality! And I have always received a courteous response, so there are still good men out there. Thanks, guys.

Thankfully recent studies (I'm looking for links) have highlighted the differences, as though it's something new. Not new, just forgotten or forced out and rediscovered. I think the feminists, the real feminazi types, don't really care that there is a disservice to women or the family, as women 'need' to be remade to reflect the feminists view of them and women who find that a 'disservice' are merely in need of more education.

This is the most egregious part.
My ex DIL has raised my grandson to be way feminine. This summer my granddaughter told me that she was teaching him to be a boy, LOL, even she noticed it.
My other granddaughter who is 16 was really down because a very nice young man asked her to homecoming but she likes the bad boy who oozes testosterone. She asked me why we were like that and I told her that it was a matter of survival and we know guys like that can take care of us while we figure we’ll be taking care of the “nice” ones.
Her only previous date was to homecoming last year and the football star asked her to go with him. She was so excited! But the team lost the homecoming game and the guy cried, her parents had to force her to go on the date, she didn’t want to go out with a crybaby!
Real women will make those poor boys into real men.
“Mamas, *do* let your babies grow up to be cowboys,” because they face challenges as great as any that have ever threatened this nation: “progressives” trying to put government (further) above the governed; radical Islam fomenting war everywhere it can strike a spark off any other belief and behavior systems; and yes, women proud that their stroke and heart attack rates are pulling even with those of men, because it demonstrates that they can be just as... *stupid* as men.
I believe it goes to a higher conflict than that. Communism is just one of the worldly fronts of the enemy.
The degradation of men, masculinity, manliness, and fatherhood is a direct attack on the family - the first earthly institution created by God, for the continuation of the knowledge of Him.
My nephew who is a college freshman said females make up 75% of the new class. Where is affirmative action for men?

Makes me cringe when I hear that. Testosterone is the bad hormone.
Now that I'm on the other side of the table ... If the kid can't show at least a little spine, he's probably unworthy.
