Interesting article! I posted during the primaries that I was concerned about the intonation in his speeches and that the way he spoke had changed from when he was in Chigaco. The way he finished a sentence on a downward tone is used to make people feel comfortable and at ease and to trust the speaker. I should have noticed more after I had hynotherapy to give up smoking that trained Pysciatrists use the same intonation during hypnosis.
