Couric should look in mirror
The Washington Times ^ | September 7, 2009 | Andrew Breitbart

Posted on 09/06/2009 9:46:56 PM PDT by kingattax

Now that White House "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones has resigned, what's next?

Inevitably, the American mainstream media - ABC, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Time, Newsweek, et al - must be held to account for sitting on the sidelines as this major story kept building without them, went viral on YouTube, and then became so large that a key appointee of President Obama was forced to step down.

But with their decision to ignore the Jones story, they may have actually done Mr. Obama far more harm than good: Who vetted this guy? How did he get past the FBI? What did he say, and how did he answer the infamous seven-page questionnaire that all Obama appointees were required to fill out? Inquiring Freedom of Information Act minds want to know.

For most people in this country, the resignation was the first they had heard of Van Jones. For this sin of journalistic omission, there's institutional media blame. Bias is too tame a word for the utter shamelessness on display: Only Republican scandals - real and imagined - matter.

And it's not just those the Democratic-Media Complex dub as "mobs" or "tea baggers" that are taking notice. Diminishing audience and evaporating subscribership reflect widespread consumer dissatisfaction. Eventually, the money will run out.

But until then, the growing alternative media of Internet and talk radio and a burgeoning mass of justifiably angry Americans will make every effort to expose the sham that is mainstream journalism.

the dopes in the MSM are nothing more than useful idiots for the obamarxists and have acted as a de facto political arm for these creeps.

The times telling it like it is. This is a MAJOR STORY. The bias in the MSM is completely flagrant. It is out there. It is brazen for all to see. Anybody who can’t see it now is willfully blind. Just incredible.

They completely ignored the tea parties and now completely ignore Van Jones. Hopefull, this will lead to their downfall if enough of the sheeple awaken. Well, I can dream, can’t I?

Good post. Thanks.

Much of America has started to realize that not only was Mr. Obama not vetted before he became president, he and his fellow unvetted cohorts continue to be given a pass by the Fourth Estate.

The bloom is off the rose.

Oback Barama’s precipitous dive in the polling data suggests his support was a mile wide and an inch deep.

On a related note: I remember the MSM doing a nightly body count EVERY SINGLE NIGHT during the Iraq war. Now, you never hear the body count in Afghanistan.

The hypocrisy is dripping from the MSM.

It is exactly as Michael Savage says: Republican bombs, bad. Democratic bombs, good.

Is she crying because she feels sorry for Van Jones OR the more logical reason, Diane Sawyer will further drain her ratings?

Obama’s “support” was the single WORST candidate Republicans have ever run for President.

Ever!

Now. How did that happen, and how can we prevent a recurrence.

Obama did not “win”. McCain folded, and took America with him.

The ONLY thing he’s done right for the last decade - was Sarah Palin.

Or that there is in fact, a sucker born every minute. Millions bought the snake oil and now realize how bitter it really is.

Go Andrew!

Andrew Breitbart is another one of our patriot champions. He's got his finger on a story that will eventually go down in US history, and that is how the Fourth Estate abdicated its sacred trust with The People, and allowed itself to be fully compromised, infiltrated, and subjugated by a domestic enemy that nearly toppled the world's most successful republic.

In not too long from now, the MSM itself will be the major controversy of the day, as their complicity in the treason that has transpired against us is revealed to the American people.

Their days as the official Federal Ministry of Truth are numbered.

It’s great that the MSM ignored the story! It just means more people will ignore them.

This is how bad it is. Not only did the MSM not point out Jones’ offenses, but as journalists they even failed to try and defend the guy! Not that being a commie is defensible, but being a journalist without the guts to follow a story one way or the other is indefensible. The MSM completely collapsed.

Millions bought the snake oil and now realize how bitter it really is.

The snake oil he's brought with him is not just bitter, it's lethal - to our way of life, our children's futures filled with debt to government, attempting to dismantle The Constitution via countless "czars," taxes beyond comprehension, jobs evaporating before our eyes, manufacturing being dismantled and sent abroad, surrounding himself with vipers espousing communist, socialist, activist and racial agendas, his plan to give amnesty to almost the entire population of Mexico (it seems that way), and much much more.

Perhaps because the RMS Obamanic is taking on water.

There's a hillside in a town (Lafayette, California) not far from where I live, where the Iraq war body count has been going on for quite some time. A cross or similar symbol marks each one of the dead. The count continues even during the BO administration (somehow I'd thought they'd quit this little project after BO was inaugurated, but it continues).
