When the White House press corps finally grilled White House press secretary Robert Gibbs about "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones last Friday, a reporter asked how the administration could reject "conspiracy theories" about his birth certificate while employing someone who previously charged the U.S. government with masterminding Sept. 11.
I found that to be an interesting juxtaposition.
Could the answer be as simple as the White House has no respect for truth? Will reporters and even some clamoring to position themselves as respectable "conservatives" and critics of Barack Obama figure out that deception and deceit are at the very core of this regime?
Do you expect those so ferociously attacking WND as a "conspiracy site" to recognize it was this news agency that first broke the Van Jones story in April and relentlessly pursued it for five months to the bitter end?

My recollection is the Philip Berg acted as a lawyer on behalf of some truthers. That doesn’t make him one. Lawyers provide a service to all sorts of clients.
OK, all the Kenyan Birth Certificate stuff was one thing...
but now WND has really jumped the shark.
I’d say Glenn Beck was the major factor in the resignation of the Green Czar.
Philip J. Berg, Esquire stated in a letter to the nations throughout the world:
“It is time for the nations of the world to come forth and take the leadership because of the failure of the United States Government and the States where crimes were committed on 09/11/01, where no thorough investigation and indictments occurred, to investigate, arrest and prosecute the people responsible for the murders on 9/11/01, specifically including George W. Bush and Richard Cheney. ”
Berg continued there is overwhelming evidence that:
“Bush and his cronies made 9/11 happen or let it happen. And, if they let it happen, then they made it happen. Either way, they are responsible; and more important, they have completely and unequivocally covered-it-up

It would appear that Mr. Berg wrote the above on his own and not as a legal council.

Without Beck, Gateway Pundit, FR etc. this wouldn’t have gotten national attention.
They may have brought the story up but they didn’t make any real news with it. Beck is the engine that drove this one.
Interesting that Jones went under the bus in the middle of a long weekend.

Farah needs to stop exaggerating so much and do some honest investigative journalism, which is what he claims to provide but rarely does.

Beck was the first guy I thought of too, but WND did start covering this 5 months ago. Looks like WND was the pebble that started this particular avalanche. Kind of like that one post here on Free Republic that eventually led to Dan Rather getting fired.
Van Jones was turning out to be quite the Republican fund raiser. He will be missed.
WND never lifted a finger to research this. They used someone else’s.
