Groups question legality of Obama speech to kids
WorldNetDaily ^ | SEPTEMBER 04, 2009 | Bob Unruh

A lawyer whose work has included myriad civil rights disputes and who has practice before the U.S. Supreme Court is accusing President Obama of trying to push his social agenda by reaching out directly to young children, bypassing parents who may challenge his statements.

And what Obama plans to do on Sept. 8 with a planned speech directly to students in public schools across the United States may even be illegal, according to Mathew D. Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel as well as dean of Liberty University School of Law.

"Obama has pushed his political agenda to the extreme by forcing himself on America's children," Staver said in a statement today. "Obama's political agenda on healthcare and his expansive vision for government is being rejected by the American people. Now Obama is after our children, who, like some socialist members of Congress, have not read the healthcare bill. Americans do not appreciate the president's attempt to use our children as political pawns in his game of chess. Mr. President, you must abide by the rule of law and stop this illegal activity. Our children do not belong to you."

The lesson plan that accompanies the speech asks students to set goals for how they can support the President.

That’s naked politicking.

Youbetcha, it is. I can hear the speech now preaching at kids with his little political agenda, all smarmed over with little racist innuendo, and socialist homilies.

NO THANKS!

Last I heard they took that part out of the lesson plan. As if that will make it alright to go ahead and make his speech to the kids.

I’ll bet by the time he delivers it, it will be watered down considerably.

It’s legal. As we know he’s a socialist bent on destroying America as we know it, it just is kind of Michael Jackson creepy.

And anyway, the thing that I would be concerned about more is what the teachers do with the kids AFTER the address. Those are the NEA/AFT libs that are brainwashing your kids every day, turning out to teach them thousands of hours over their k-12 lifetime.

CHESS?! You do him too much credit.
That bastard (he is one until he proves who his Daddy is) is playing checkers.
He jumps the parents and cries "King me!" to the children, which they dutifully do as they're not cognizant that his move is illegal.

These folks have let the cat out of the bag in so many ways regarding their agenda it's not even funny. And then we are labeled as "paranoid" or "racist" when we express distrust or concern. LOL! These socialist-communist agitators are laughable, to be sure. But they ought not be ignored.

“He went straight to Principal’s....he did NOT even go through the School Superintendents.....right there we have a problem”

If you send your kids to the Fed School each morn, or let em watch the the erectile dysfunction, climax boomer commercials of the embrace a queer programming creep. If you can do all this to your own kids, at school and home and Yawn….. But on call, flap and wine over this twitt being ignored by kids in class rooms across the fruited plain, you is just a tool of the fool.

Lib is one of the best Law schools in the country but the fact that some dean is quoted as having his nickers in a knot according to WND, (I love these guys) really shouldn’t be all it takes to twist your crank to frenzy mode/
