Remember the California girl who got fined recently for not having a license to sell lemonade on HER own property???

Don't miss this line....we knew these unemployed aliens were joining the cartels who are burning down California.

"Recent marijuana-growing operations in Palo Alto's foothills had immigrant laborers guarding the pot plantations, he said. His concern is that immigrants desperate for work are being led into dangerous situations."

Enforcing our laws and our borders would end ALL of this!

I am supposed to feel sorry for these illegals? They willingly racked up this debt to the devil. If they lose their lives because they cannot pay it off that is their problem.

Deport them to Chiapas.

Could be worse, they could be taxpayers. You never ‘pay off’, ever. They tax you even after death.

I won’t touch ‘their’ food. We have them even up here in Ohio...they set up in parking lots and sell grilled meat products.

Last time I read about some 18 family horses being stolen in Florida, slaughtered and the corpses left to rot...I knew exactly where that meat was going!

One reason to enforce immigration laws is actually to protect these people from coyotes. It is inhumane to leave them vulnerable to those who take advantage of their status to silence them about being abused.

That being said, illegal immigrants should be deported.

***But behind the sweet fruit there is a bitterness, a story of indentured servitude playing out on Bay Area streets. ***

Other than being illegals, is there any difference between this and the Hari Krishnas selling flowers on the streets forty yeas ago?

Boo hoo for the exploited Mexicans in the USA.

Wanna hear about what FEDERALES do to Guatemalan who illegally pass through Mexico...?

They make the men WATCH, and that is AFTER everyone in the group is relieved of their valuables, of course....

Meanwhile the the pickers in the fields adjacent to my parents place are properly permitted, visa’d and working dawn to dusk while pocketing decent wages for uneducated workers. Come fall they’ll head back to Mexico with pockets full of money and live better than their impoverished countrymen. Come spring they’ll head back north for planting and repeat the process.

Paz, 42, has been selling the strawberries for four months, recruited off the streets of Veracruz, Mexico. He crossed the border on foot with eight other men, eluding the border patrol with a coyote who guided them through the desert, he said. He left a wife and two young daughters, ages 8 and 2, behind in Mexico, arriving with the equivalent of $40 in his pocket, he said.

Until "conservatives" stop endorsing the practice of desperately poor people having babies when they have no legal or decent way to support them, this sort of exploitation and illegal immigration will continue unabated. This guy should be back in Mexico with no one to feed but himself.

The vendors stand for up to 12 hours a day in the elements. They have no water, food or bathroom facilities, relieving themselves in nearby shops where they can, they said.

In Austin, we have panhandlers at major intersections who stand in 100-degree heat for that long with nothing to sell other than a sad story yet idiots still stop and give them money. At least the illegals are offering a product.

I also don't understand this idea of being "exploited" by coyotes. I doubt even one of them was kidnapped into crossing the border. They knew they were working illegally and they still agreed to be part of it.

I'm having trouble working up sympathy here.

Mexicans sell on the side of the road, we're supposed to feel pity. Americans sell on the side of the road, even though they help our local economy, fine, tax and shut down. Maybe we should all claim to be Mexicans to avoid prosecution by our own government. ObamaCare Jokes Obama Jokes
