Credit to Freeper onemiddleamerican for finding this late last night.
Van Jones, the controversial Green Jobs Czar in the Obama administration endorsed an anti-police day of action initiated by a Maoist communist cult group, the Revolutionary Communist Party, in 2006.
The statement for the action is entitled, "Call for Oct. 22, 2006: Eleventh Annual National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation", and states in part:
Why isnt the escalation of police brutality and murder in recent years headline news? Perhaps because these images dont comply well with the need to project images of police as defenders against terrorism. Since September 11, 2001, law enforcement agents (including border patrols) have been given greater license to increase and broaden repression. Steps were even taken to grant more worth to a police officers life, with the heroes law enacted in New York State, for which the governor originally called for a death sentence for anyone who shoots a cop. At the same time, the cop who killed African immigrant Ousmane Zongo in New York, after a rare conviction (criminally negligent homicide) was sentenced with probation and community service. Torture, brutality, detentions, domestic spying, profiling, and other attacks on human and civil liberties have been made part of the routine of daily life that we are asked to accept without question. At airports, subways, transportation centers, and more we are asked to welcome bag searches, check points, invasion of privacy, stripping away of civil liberties, all in the name of national security.
Jones' name on the list of endorsers is between to radical anti-Israel groups:
ISO (International Socialist Organization), San Francisco
Van Jones and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights
Justice4Palestinians
Other endorsers are communist groups like Code Pink, ANSWER, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, an SEIU local as well as various anti-American leftists including terrorist supporter attorney Lynne Stewart.
The Revolutionary Communist Party cult is headed up by Bob Avakian.
The RCP endorsed the terrorists in Iraq through the Not In Our Name support of the World Tribunal on Iraq.
RCP also founded World Can't Wait, Drive Out the Bush Regime.
The Obama administration supposedly had the most thorough vetting process of any administration with a focus on things that could be found on the Internet.
This guy is a loose cannon.
At some point, aides to Obama are going to tell him he needs to stop thinking like a liberal and save his presidency. i.e., appealing to his Marxist liberal base by hiring traitors like this is not going to be worth the material damage that’s occurring to his approval numbers courtesy of this rogues gallery of imbeciles.
Glenn Beck will have quite a scalp when he forces Van Jones to resign. That will be some serious payback.
At least Van Jones was telling the truth when he said he could be an a**hole.
I'm not sure I agree.
They found out more about Joe the Plumber Wurzelbacher in 24 hours than they did about Baraq Hussein in 24 months.
Are you kidding? I'm sure Obama and Jones have spent more than one evening smoking the hookah.
Obama has shown the incredible inability to distance himself from the truth. In that sense, he's the gift that keeps on giving.
Van Jones’ Administration function is to shovel Federal money to Obama supporters.
From Wikipedia:
“In 2004, Jones was one of “100 notable Americans” who signed a “911 Truth Statement” from 911Truth.org. The statement demanded an investigation of “unanswered questions that suggest that people within the current administration may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.”[18] Jones appears as signer number 46 to the document.[19] In September of 2009, Jones issued a statement regarding the 9/11 truth letter saying “the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever.” He has not yet provided an explanation of how or why his name appeared in the letter however.[20]”
He was for the 911 Truth Statement before he was against it.
Van Jones is officially nuclear waste. If they don’t get rid of him by Monday he will eclipse health care as the fattest target on talk radio.
He’s probably signed hundreds of anti-American petitions. He has probably made dozens of hate-America-first speeches.
They have to beam him out to deep space, possibly Cuba, because he will single-handedly make Obama a laughingstock. There is no more credibility for Van Jones - he is a hater and if Obama keeps him, he is only proving Glenn Beck’s point.
Sent to Glenn Beck.
“What was he thinking to come out targeting Glenn Beck, going after his job and career when he has so many damned skeletons?”
Sounds to me like his private life wasn’t hidden in the closet too well. I believe he was told he’d be protected, just like obama was re:his relationship with wright/ayers.
Great post, kristinn ping

Great digging, dude!!!!!!!!
He is just like the zero, only not as adept at hiding his true thoughts.
I expect MSNBC and CBS to have this on the news tonight.
((snicker))
I'm almost tempted to think Van's some kind of evil Rovian plant!
Who else could have made the O administration look so inept?
POTUS' hand-picked vetters are such bumbling idiots they can't even google competently and yet this team of geniuses think they are qualified to seize control of every citizen's health care decisions?
His clueless Czars, allegedly culled from those whom Barrack Obama actually believes to be this nation's 'best & brightest' don't ever seem to know what they're signing, or at least claim not to, and yet we're supposed to trust that the same officials hand-picked by POTUS aren't going to 'accidentally' sign euthanasia orders for our grannies? Huh?
I take it back. Barack obama doesn't need to show us the transcripts of his academic career - the ones he's mysteriously worked so hard to conceal from the public for so long - anymore.
Can there be any doubt at this late date what they'd tell the world?
