If a presidential election were held last night on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans, the winner would not have been the 48 year old occupant of the White House, but a spry 74 year old physician from Texas.
U..S. Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) enthralled a huge crowd of supporters and students with a one hour address on topics ranging from the war in Afghanistan to the Federal Reserve. The crowd was so large that the university set up five overflow rooms to accommodate the intense interest in Dr. Pauls message.

Go Dr. Paul. He would of beaten Obama. McClame was a huge mistake.
Ron Paul who proves that at least one principled politician can win reelection.
can you spell Bob?
The GOP could use a little more of the Bob Marley touch. Maybe it would start winning again.
lol...i was a stoned libertarian once...but it got in the way of life
i don’t get all worked up about pot either way...it’s a drug
i don’t think smoking ganj on the level Marley did is conduicive to responsibilities
We need people like Dr. Paul who connects with the young people.
Young people understand freedom, and when you couch the argument as the “nanny” state smothering them like their parents versus a free government of the sort of liberation they feel they have in college — the young folks will go for the freedom.
I think that was part of the draw Reagan had with the young folks — that and they also rebelled against the hippie dippy parents of theirs.
It's not. But it's also wrong to criminalize irresponsible behavior that does not violate the rights of others. If you want to restore respect for the Constitution, you have to respect it in full—and the Controlled Substances Act is just as Unconstitutional as ObamaCare, or as Prohibition would have been, had there not been a Constitutional Amendment giving the US that power.
I agree. I said a “little more Bob Marley.”
This must be the libertarian love-fest thread...don’t buy it, don’t smoke it, don’t like Paul...buh bye....
no need to lecture me on pot decriminalizing
i was state co-chair for NORML at my college in late 70s
where were you tadpole?
(kidding..don’t get yer panties in a knot)
i never cared for the guy. especially foreign policy. to each their own.
Don’t like drugs, don’t do drugs but the Controlled Substances Act and other drug related law, enables the Govt. to seize private property which negates the common ground held by all the Founders and the Constitution. Don’t know how we let that one get by us? If you want to sit around and get stoned, rot your brain...well whatever, just don’t come to me with your hand out later when you can’t hold down a job.
I was posting more for general consumption, not aiming at you specifically.
No one should be able to take from others just because he's in need—regardless of the reasons. Asking for help is everyone's right—but so is refusing such requests.
Paul had it right.
That counts for something. If the other losers care not to come clean on their support for Bailout America, they will never have my support ever.
