WASHINGTON While Republicans are calling a Department of Veterans Affairs health planning booklet a "death book" that encourages veterans to kill themselves or forgo care, ethicists and legal and medical experts say it's a reasonable attempt to help America's veterans plan for the end of their lives.
Jim Towey, the former director of President George W. Bush's White House office of faith-based initiatives, wrote in The Wall Street Journal last month that the VA's "Your Life, Your Choices" booklet encourages veterans to "hurry up and die." Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele added in a television interview that the VA effort aimed at veterans was "encouraging them to commit suicide."

Who are you going to believe? The “experts” or your own lyin’ eyes?
This expert says it’s a death book.
What did they imagine the intent behind it was.
This newspaper chain can't go bankrupt fast enough!

Proving that "experts" don't know what they're talking about.
Or they're lying...
Do you like living?
A) kinda.
B) sort of.
C) Give me a pill.
D) My master, Obama is obsessed with death, so I guess I’ll let him decide.
E) Get the F*** out of my life.
Robert Pearlman, the book's lead author, joined three dozen other physicians and scholars in a 1996 brief arguing that the Supreme Court should recognize the right to physician-assisted suicide. Pearlman said, however, "I am not an advocate for physician-assisted suicide."
The experts are right, dead on, if you will. It isn’t a death book. Because of its binding, it is actually a death pamphlet.
This veteran says it’s a death book...
My own lying eyes.
mcclatchy = moveon liberalism
What kind of “expertise” would make a person more capable of understanding that pamphlet than you or I?
The experts (at least in the excerpt) didn’t deny it was a death book. They said ‘it’s a reasonable attempt to help veterans plan for end of their lives.’
We know there are a bunch of experts in the Obama admin that believe euthanasia in all its forms is a real, reasonable alternative that is also cost effective.
I mean Rahm’s brother Zeke said that damn hippocratic oath really is a huge problem dealing with the healthcare situation.
McClatchy should be out of business soon. The geniuses leveraged-up and went on a newspaper buying spree just before the bottom fell out of the business and the economy. Them “journalists” is smart....
The Democrats are masters of creating “experts” out of whole cloth.
Just for everyone’s FYI, here’s a couple of links to online copies on the booklet in question.
