Free Men do not have to ask Permission.
Keep them home.
I was going to suggest keeping them home, claiming they have the flu... but that would probably get them sent off to some quarantine facility somewhere.
Send the kids with an iPod filled with Rush, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity...
cough cough, I think my kids are getting the flu, so they will be staying home so as to not infect others. It’s a noble safety precaution.
I wonder what would happen if Bush had had a little heart to heart with the school kids about his policies?
Propaganda is unbecoming an American President.
I’ll bet many localities still have pretty draconian Truancy Ordinances left over from the 50’s...
Just because they haven’t been enforced rigorously lately, doesn’t mean they’re not still on the books...
Just sayin’.....
If I had kids they would be going on a civics field trip with me that day. That is the day the Tea Party Express is coming to town.
Can you say political education and ideological indoctrination? That's exactly what's going on here.
This is really way past creepy. It is reminds one of the way theHitler Youth of the 1930s arose. I don’t know how we can stop this guy, but one way or another, we must. We are about to lose our country to a very dangerous fraud. sd
Here is a great boilerplate letter circulating by email:
Dear <<<>>> School Board Members:
I am the parent of a child in a <<>> School District elementary school. In connection with President Obama’s scheduled speech to all of the nation’s public schoolchildren next week, I have a few questions:
1. Does the federal government exercise control over the local public elementary schools? That is, can the President of the United States dictate the timing and subject matter of presentations to elementary school students?
2. Does the School Board have a choice concerning whether to broadcast President Obama’s speech?
3. If the school board has a choice, when will the school board meet to decide its course of action? If there is no special or regular meeting to make the decision, when and how will that decision be made?
4. Do school principals have a choice concerning whether to broadcast President Obama’s speech to all of its students?
5. Do teachers have a choice concerning whether or when to broadcast the speech? Will all teachers be required to broadcast the speech and conduct the federal government’s recommended pre-speech activities and follow up discussions as an addition to the regular school day curriculum?
6. If the decision is made to broadcast the President’s speech in the classroom, will parents be offered a choice to exempt their children from this broadcast and its attendant activities without a marked absence or other penalty?
Thank you very much for your responses to these questions prior to the September 8th event.
Sincerely,
I dont have kids in school any more but as a taxpayer I object to this waste of my tax dollars and have written to the school board with my concerns
So he’s speaking to the school kids on the 8th, and he’s speaking to a joint session of Congress on the 9th (covered by all the major TV networks, no doubt.) Talk about overexposure.
Many schools lose revenue if kids are out. Just call Lil’ Johnny in sick if the school insists on him being indoctrinated.
Stand outside, protest, and hand out Obama/Joker/Socialism flyers.
We need to return to a capitalist school system and get government out of the school business.

I hope some kid gets up and shouts....”Look...look! Its the Joker!”
Oh, kewl, I just saw this post right after mine:

Hey Obama, leave those kids alone.......
I’d be inclined to set off the fire alarms, too
