Freepers in Sarasota, Orlando, Tampa, Punta Gorda, FL - Urgent message
I just received information that Moveon.org will be in front of Vern Buchanan's office (235 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota) tonight to protest in FAVOR of the health care bill. I know this is last minute but if you can, please bring signs opposing Government Health Care.
According to the information online (http://pol.moveon.org/event/events/index.html?action_id=186&id=&search_distance=100&search_zip=33771&submit=Search), the leader will be at Vern's office at 6:30, and the other (moveon) participants are asked to be there at 7:30 PM.
Other "We Can't Afford To Wait Vigil" will also happen tonight in Punta Gorda, Lake Eola Park in Orlando, and Tampa (check the moveon.org website for locations.)
they don’t seem to realize they’re just ticking people off even more.
They are not protesting FOR Healthcare “reform” - they’re protesting in support of a 1,200 page bill that has nothing to do with healthcare reform, and everything to do with gov’t control.
Good. Keep ticking us off.
As Rev. Manning said, “We ain’t gonna take it no more.”
“Keep your laws off my body”
“Want to Pay for Others’ Healthcare? What’s Stopping You?”
The drives too long from Texas, but I hope you’ll post an update of the turnout (both sides).
check moveon’s site. I’m sure you can find one close to you. Just put in your zip code on the front page of MoveOn.org.
I’m down in Miami for the next couple of days. Heard on the radio, a health care protest down here broke out into a fist fight today. One man arrested. Radio report said the protester was “pro” health care and the thumper wasn’t. Could it be that a dummie plant popped the “pro”tester? Think Denver and the DNC office attack.
*(FWIW, the Canada Health Act, printed in both official languages, and complete with a cover page, runs just 14 pages.)
Thanks, I tried 5 or 6 zip codes around here and came up empty. Maybe the moveon folks can’t find a lot of support here. That’s a good thing.
They cannot resist sticking their big noses in our lives.
We do not want Government to run Healthcare!
