If the White House is trying to figure how it lost control of the debate over healthcare in August, it could take a look at Glenn Becks television and radio ratings. The conservative talk radio host, who also has an hourly slot on Fox News every day, has seen his viewer numbers soar even as opponents have pressed companies to withdraw advertising from the show.

This was the same mantra that the left used about Bush. The ability is there and in the event of a serious emergency the President needs to take control and restore order. I don't like it, most do not, but it is necessary. That is why we need to elect people we trust to do the right thing and let go once the situation has stabilized!
The conspiracy is not the laws, it is this event. What, when where etc. Beck was suggesting that Bam and Van Jones are aware or privy to something. Maybe they are and maybe it will happen, but does that really help his cause to make these open ended suggestions? Frankly I think Stu and Pat get a little uncomfortable with some of what Beck says.

I remember hearing Glenn for the first time the days after September 11, 2001 when our local talk radio put him in Dr. Laura’s timeslot. I believe he was still broadcasting from Florida at that time. He was so easy to relate to. I remember thinking “this guy gets it”. I have been reduced to tears during many of his shows, laughing until my sides hurt on many others. There is no one like Glenn. My kids and I have been faithful listeners and watchers ever since. We love and appreciate all you’re doing for this country Glenn. Godspeed.
How often does a TV show host call someone racist on MSNBC?? Hourly?? Doesn’t UberDork make a career out of calling people the “worst people on Earth”???
Why is that controversy only surrounds a conservative?? Has anyone in the media heard Air America?
Talk about double standards.
No to take anything away from him, I am glad that he is doing a great job in bringing these things up on nationwide TV and radio, but I first heard about both of those topics here before Beck ever mentioned them:

I was wondering if you were awake yet!
Then I remembered that they were one of the sponsors who pulled their commericals
I just put the product back down
.
“I understand Glenn Becks ratings have sky rocketed!”
The day his ratings took a monumental jump was the day after Sarah’s Facebook posting recommended that people pay attention to him. (IIRC)
He’s the only one who is telling the truth about this group day after day. People may not like his delivery, but his information is solid.
“I agree completely that the pubes are dragging us down too, and that theyre progressives etc., but we may need them to get us out of this mess - we may not have anybody better to vote for.”
I agree. I’m glad Beck is on radio/tv but I get very uncomfortable when he says Repubs are the same as Dems. However, maybe this gives him street cred with the precious “independents” and “moderates”. If so, I’m fine with it, I guess.
“Obama, a former Cocaine user?”
I’ll bet “former” is not exactly correct.
Well, I hope Beck wasn’t suggesting Obama’s minions could create a natural disaster.
Nope, it didn’t. the MORON one did though...
“I would also say he could afford to tone down the dramatics a bit.”
He is high drama, but I think that attracts younger people, and God knows the young people need to be educated. Whatever it takes...
I believe he was referring to Kennedy and Chappaquiddick rather than Glen.
Morning Comrades...
Thanks for the ping,
was picking blueberries and listening to Glenn on radio...
The More he Exposed, the Faster I Picked..

I’m impressed that he doesn’t “bleep out” the “damn” word in Wright’s sermon. Sean ALWAYS edits it, and it MUST be heard — very powerful.
It’s tough to get upset about including that when Glenn Beck himself says it almost daily on his radio show.
