His ratings were huge on Monday but back to normal levels yesterday... we really need to spread the word to get more people to watch him.

Hannity is too canned... I think the biggest difference between he and Beck is Beck is curious and an avid researcher, and even with the threats to his person and family he cares enough for his country to go after the truth and report the truth... Hannity, OTOH, seems to seize up when presented with anything controversial as if he fears going down that road... I can take or leave him, would rather see Beck in that slot.

The Examiner did independent research on Glenn's assertions, makes an interesting read:

Glenn is a firestorm. D@mn that man can talk. I’m sure a lot of people want to shut him up. Problem is the old commies who started this commie movement don’t even want it themselves any longer. Even Russian doesn’t want it any longer. It’s kept alive here on old flatulence and by opportunistic crooks. Soon their moldy butts will be in for a surprise.

"Hannity is too canned..."

Hannity still thinks that politics are a sport, like in the old days when we all assumed we were just American Dems vs American Repubs. Now its all of them (the indoctrinated Feds)against us.

I think it goes deeper than that, he isn’t intellectually curious, found a formula that worked for him and is afraid to deviate... his time slot is being wasted.

...Opposite fer me. I listen to his radio show, 9-12am, WLAP in Lexington. He’s a hoot, and his staff are great. lots of laughs. Think that off camera, there’s an opportunity to have fun, as serious as the issues are. Get home half way through the telly broadcast. But, I try to catch the wee wweee, hours broadcast, sleeping soundly through the night for me is long gone...

This is a very left-leaning story from The Gawker (I got it googling Glenn Beck)

Eleven More Companies Flee Glenn Beck

By Andrew Belonsky, 9:31 PM on Wed Sep 2 2009

Poor, sad sack Glenn Beck has even more woes than just unwarranted, and ill-advised, threats on his life. Eleven more companies have decided to pull their ads from his Fox News program. Who are they?

Well, thanks to anti-Beck boycott organizers ColorofChange.com, we can tell you:

Binder & Binder, Capital One, The Dannon Company, Discover, HSBC, ICAN Benefit Group Insurance, Infiniti, Jelmar (manufacturer of CLR All-Purpose Cleaner), Jordan McKenna Debt Counseling Network, Mercedes-Benz and Simplex Healthcare (creator of the Diabetes Care Club) This latest round of blow-offs brings the total of boycotting companies to 57. At least one of the companies, Mercedes-Benz, has cited Beck's exclusionary politics as a primary motivation:

Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) considers its commitment to Diversity and Inclusion [sic] an integral part of its corporate culture and business strategy. We believe that MBUSA's success is dependent on embracing the various cultures, nationalities and convictions of our associates and market that translate into meeting consumer needs and expectations for relevant products and services.

How long, we wonder, until Fox ditches Beck for more advertising-friendly television. His ratings are excellent, but money matters, as we all know, and it will be interesting to see how long popularity — or, rather, headline-grabbing — can trump cold, hard cash. Not long, we imagine.
