MoveOn E-mail: Hey, We're Winning
9-1-09

Posted on 09/01/2009 10:11:11 PM PDT by FrdmLvr

Dear MoveOn member,

After a few weeks of health care craziness, there's good news: we're winning on the ground. Lots of town halls are now dominated by supporters of health care reform. The vast majority of Americans want the choice of a public plan.1 And a powerful bloc of progressives in the House is standing strong on real reform.

The really bad news? The media's still acting like President Obama's health care plan is on the skids.

If we don't turn the conventional wisdom around before Congress begins voting on health care, we could be in big trouble.

We've got a plan to make it happen. It starts tomorrow with major vigils across the country to bring the media's focus back to the real people suffering under the current health care system.

And then we'll shake up the media story again by going on the offensive against Republicans, with a new series of tough ads that call them out for their ties to the health insurance industry.

But to actually make a big splash, we need to raise $185,000 today—and that's going to take at least 3 donations from people in Livonia. Can you chip in $20 right now to help out?

Right now, Republicans in Congress think they can get away with viciously slandering President Obama's plan for a public health insurance option—even though 77% of Americans say they want to have the choice of a public plan.2

These Republicans need a reality check. Every member of Congress should know that opposing health care reform isn't just morally wrong—it's politically dangerous and unpopular.

That's why we're planning some very tough new TV ads. They'll let voters know exactly how much money their representatives have taken from the insurance industry, whose top goal this year is to kill the public option.

These ads are a surefire way to put Republicans on the defensive, and show that Americans want their representatives to stop siding with insurance companies by obstructing health care reform.

To hit our goal of $185,000 and get these ads on the air, we need at least 3 people in Livonia to step up. Can you chip in $20 right now to help out?

Thanks for all you do.

Ooohhh! I see...you guys are really winning, but now it's just the dumb old media who keeps insisting you're losing! LOL! No, the polls say you're LOSING and the TRUE grass roots showing up at the town halls are scaring the sh*t out of the Congress.

So once again you come begging for money to run your propaganda ads. Why do you even need to run the ads when you side's winnng? Who are these ads for? The only people you have to convince are in the Congress and what do they care about ads? Could it be you really aren't winning after all? You people are so damn phoney it's a laugh.

Let em think what they will. Obama is officially saying now that the Public option is dead. Now we know liberals are going attack him like a piece of red meat. We need to keep our folks aligned to the cause of stopping the rest of the bill which is horrible. They are pulling back only to as a way to deceive.

My greatest fear is that they'll pull some of it out, like the public option in order to pass it, then once they pass it they'll add everything back into it, and then some.

No big checks from CEO's? Well, I guess that's technically correct...George Soros probably isn't a CEO.

MoveOn.org is headquartered in Disneyland.

THEY ARE LOSING!

Castro is NOT AN AMERICAN IDOL, NOR IS HIS HEALTH CARE PLAN.

Obama is LOSING! His POLL numbers are below 50% overall approval. Obama care only has a 30 percent approval, and over 40 percent disapproval.

Move aside MoveOn. The big dogs are taking over this block.

These Republicans need a reality check.

And they just need a check. Or cash. Or a credit card. But they're winning big! They're, ummmm, little short of cash right now. What imbeciles.

From Dick Morris dot com Aug 31st........ excerpted

As if Obama’s health care proposals were not flawed enough, CBS News reports a previously unnoticed provision of the bill which makes a shambles of any privacy surrounding your federal tax returns. Under the House bill, the IRS is required to make available to the new government Health Choices Commissioner” established by the legislation and to each state health program all of your personal tax information.

In a blog, CBSNews’ Declan McCullagh reports that “Section 431 (a) of the bill says that the IRS must divulge taxpayer identity information, including the filing status, the modified adjusted grow income, the number of dependents, and ‘other information as is prescribed by’ regulation” to the “new Health Choices Commissioner and state health programs

As long as they believe their own false propaganda, they’ll keep losing.

Are you going to believe our rigged poll at the Zsa Zsa Post or are you going to believe Zogby, Gallup, Rasmussen, WSJ, etc. etc.?

Remember, the Dems have *every vote they need* to pass this. If anyone isn’t convinced to run with this, it’s Moron.org’s own party.

But why do they need $185,000 from a bunch of losers? Wouldn’t Soros just cut them another check?

When the polls showed the Iraq War (pre surge) was unpopular, Democrats shouted up “the will of the people must be heard!”

When the polls showed the stimulus was unpopular, Democrats shouted down polls, “radicals are winning the lobbyist wars!” as if lobbyists had anything to do with public opinion.

When the polls showed Obama leading McCain, Democrats shouted, “the people want change!”

Now the polls show Americans don’t want government-run health care and the Democrats shout, “the polls are misleading!”

Democrats love to give 200%. They give themselves 100% of the credit for polls favoring them and give others 100% of the blame when polls favor their opponents (who are the American people).

Around the time of the 2004 election, I used to think these people were just loons.

But pay close attention to what they say. They pretty much own the Democratic Party.

Estimated to cost 1T with us being already down 9T and with proven poor estimates I suspect you can count on this growing to 16T without any help from a public option, how can they possibly pass this?

They were even crazy to bring this up.
