I will have my son write:
I will endeavor to work to see that you lose your re-election campaign, right after I work to reinstate a Republican Congress.
Then I will volunteer to drive you to the airport for your trip home on January 20th, 2013.

Kennedy said :ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.
Now Obama asks what you can do for him.

Kennedy told us to ask what we can do for our country. Obama tells us to ask what we can do for him.

When I was in second grade, my teacher had the names of soldiers in a particular unit in Vietnam, as part of English class, learning how to write a proper letter, she had all of us write to a soldier. I still have the letter I received back.
But don't think to suggest that the Dept. of Education, the current EdSec or 0bama himself would consider to have the kids write to our guys in Afghanistan, tough times right now, or any of the other servicemen overseas. Nah, nothing to learn in that, right Teach?

***Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president***
What kind of assignment is it where you ‘write letters to yourself’ about anything? Much less to help Obama.
Creepy.

Students are always a great resource for totalitarians.

Other than the web link is there any other verification of this? Always a good question to ask, however,
I have not heard about it on the news, will it be broadcast on TV? CNN?
...the "new media" affords opportunities to selectively include/omit constituents and completely obliterates (finally) the idea of media being some kind of "public record" or ultimate measure of veracity.
