Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?
In case the other one gets locked:
“Kids, tell you parents they need to buy the new, small electric cars GM is going to sell or we are going to ruin the planet. Also tell them that if we dont pass cap and trade, the polar bears are going to drown in boiling water. And tell them if they dont pass a full government health insurance reform with the public option, they are being selfish. If you dont understand what I just said, thats OK. After I am done, your teachers will spend the rest of the day having you memorize the little cards they are handing out.
The most important thing: have a sad face when you do your little speech. Make it like you are almost going to cry. If they start asking questions or criticize what you said, start crying and say, I dont want the planet ruined! I dont want the polar bears boiled! I want you to help others and not be selfish! Then break down into miserable sobs. After a while, tone it down a bit but keep little whimpers and sniffles going until bedtime. If you father say, Shut the hell up or Ill kick your ass! then remember what Eddie Murphy said and shut the hell up. Next day, report him on our special web page http://youcan.snitchonyourparents.gov.";
Fo shizzle, I gots to bounce! Obama, out, yall.
Read that again. It doesn't say "what they can do to help their country." It says "what they can do to help the president."
If I were teaching, I'd be asking my students "What is wrong with this sentence?"
“Fight your parents for me!” said Obama. “Fight your churches. Fight your ignorant friends who aren’t as smart as you. Fight the people against government healthcare. Join our ranks, you will be part of my national civilian security forces. You will be the vanguard. You will have the power. The era of Obama has begun. End Transmission.”

Hopefully, he wouldn’t address them at all. This is more Big Brotherism supported by the NEA. Our Great and Maximum Leader must guide [read indoctrinate] the youth on the way forward. This is like what happens in third world totalitarian states. When does the propaganda end?
Another case where he takes advantage where there is nothing anyone can do to stop him and he has a captive audience. Although a creative con law attorney could maybe request an injunction on the grounds that he lacks con law authority to reach into the elementary school classrooms this way.
The propaganda don’t end unless they are gone. Even then some will still be around underground.
NOT GOOD
Fascists have always targeted children, the next generation. They know that many grown ups are lost causes.
But the youth, they’re fertile.
And many of those 9th and 10th graders will be voters in 2012.
Hitler in sepia tones is no less despotic than the older Austrian version. The idea that an "American" elected Office Holder has some mandate to direct the thinking of American youth, via an institutionalized mass indoctrination session, should certainly give one pause.
There are two of these “talking-point “group-speak” docs on government website:
http://www.ed.gov/admins/lead/academic/bts.html
Produced by Teaching Ambassador Fellows
The first one is for K-6
Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important?
What is the President trying to tell me?
What is the President asking me to do?
What new ideas and actions is the President challenging me to think about?
What do you think the President wants us to do?
Does the speech make you want to do anything?
Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?
What would you like to tell the President?
The second one is for grades 7-12
Brainstorm or Concept Web: What other historic moments do you remember when the President spoke to the nation? What was the impact? Students could create a Cause/Effect graphic organizer.
Suppose President Obama were to give another speech about being educationally successful. Who could he speak to next? Who should be his next audience? Why? What would he say?
Video Project:
Teachers could encourage students to participate in the Department of Educations I Am What I Learn video contest. On September 8th the Department will invite K-12 students to submit a video no longer than 2 min...
The K-6 document is far more disturbing, but as Bill Ayers says, Get em while they’re young.”
Anybody with children in school should organize with other parents to keep a vigilant eye on what comes out of the Dept of Ed. This is their first year to implement the Bill Ayers School of Indoctrination. This is just the first salvo. And notice that on the Dept of Ed website, these docs weren’t even posted under the “Teachers” link; they were posted under the “Administrators” link.
To most parents this effort will appear harmless at first. It’s the “cook the frog in cold water and SLOWLY turn up the heat” school of methodology.
UNDERSTANDING OBAMA’S EDUCATION VISION

But they can only reach the FALLOW minds. if we have properly fertilized our children’s minds with ideas of freedom, liberty, the Constitution etc. then this crap will never take hold. If we are doing our jobs properly, they can NEVER get our children.
okay— I need a beer!
after reading that.. I might need something stronger...
Amen to that! There is no way my child would attend school that day and I would tell them why.
this youtube video was funny a year ago....now it’s a sickening reality....
