Congressman Jan Schakowsky Townhall: Scare tactics of the Right Wing

Illinois FReepers attended Congressman Jan Schakosky's Healthcare Townhall meeting last night in Niles Illinois. Over 2,000 people attended and if you were not there by 5PM chances are you did not make it in. I have done some search on the bill and received a link for research that the Congression Research office had done that says illegal aliens are covered in Obama's Healthcare bill.

Congressman Schakowsky denied that the bill covers illegal aliens and then stated that those who asked about the bill covering illegal aliens was really : Scare Tactics of the Right Wing! I will attach the ABC7 News Video that gives you this statement

I also asked the Congresswoman WHY “Section 431(a) of the bill says that the IRS must divulge taxpayer identity information, including the filing status, the modified adjusted grow income, the number of dependents, and ‘other information as is prescribed by’ regulation’ to the “new Health Choices Commissioner and state health programs.” under Section 1801(a) “the Social Security Administration can obtain tax return data on anyone who may be eligible for a ‘low-income prescription drug subsidy’ but has not applied for it.”

She was totally stunned and could not answer the question. It was like she was hit blindsided and could not answer, so she just went on to the next question. Another man in the audience got up about 20 minutes later and asked her WHY she did not answer the IRS Privacy question, again she said she couldn't find it and became very flustered! DID SHE READ THE BILL??

Jan also said the bill did not cover abortion, NOT TRUE!!

I am SOSOSOSOSOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo Glad that the breach of IRS privacy in the Bill has becoe a public item.

One can see this scenario, that the IRS will enforce the payment of medical bills imposed by the health care plan. All of the seizure aurthority and audit authority will be brought to bare n couples where one of both are sick!!

Secondly, medical costs will be calculated on a sliding fee scale depending on how much you earn for income, and how much you have as assets.SICK!!!!

This IRS clause means a redistribution of wealth, keyed to when people are at their weakest, when they are sick.

BAD BAD BAD BAD. If the IRS is left in a Health Care Bill, Many will leave the country. Including me. I refuse to live under such tyranny.

What is becoming increasingly apparent is that the whole concept of representative government has broken down here in the US. In theory our elected repsresentatives are meant to act on our behalf in our best interests - in their judgement i.e.they are representatives not delegates. It now appears that our "representatives" know less about proposed legislation than the people they represent.

Which leads to the obvious corollary "Why have representative government" " Why not have all major issues decided by referendums - per the Swiss model ?"

The uncritial media allows them to fleece America, without even talking about the content of the bill, such as the Breach of IRS privacy.

This opens up a horrible avenue for political control of who earns what, who pays what. Why work? Just go on welfare, you will have all the health care you need paid for by Suckahs?

‘‘(ii) the filing status of such taxpayer,

‘‘(iii) the modified adjusted gross income of such taxpayer (as defined in section 59B(e)(5)),

‘‘(iv) the number of dependents of the taxpayer,

‘‘(v) such other information as is prescribed by the Secretary by regulation as might indicate whether the taxpayer is eligible for such affordability credits (and the amount thereof), and

‘‘(vi) the taxable year with respect to which the preceding information relates or, if applicable, the fact that such information is not available.
