Romney said keeping hand in GOP '12 race (Desperate Mitt Alert)

BOSTON, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Republican former U.S. presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is quietly raising millions of dollars as he prepares for the 2012 campaign, analysts say.

Observers say that since he lost the GOP presidential primaries last year, the former Massachusetts governor has shown his usual competitiveness and discipline in keeping his presidential aspirations in play, The Boston Globe reported Sunday.

"He lost a tough race," New Hampshire state Sen. Jeb Bradley, a Republican former member of the U.S. House, told the newspaper. "After that, Mitt could have done anything he wanted with his life: back to the non-profit world or start a new business. But what has he been doing? He's kept at it. He's been busting his butt since losing more than anyone I have ever seen."

"Then its agreed. We are twins who support Obama.
We twins will have our staff attack Palin and her handicapped child."

"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."

--  President Ronald Reagan

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn’t make any sense at all.""

CharlesWayneCT: Did I ever mention California?

Yes. Post #169.

ROTFLOL. But since most of what you say is nonsense
it is obvious you forgot what you said 5 seconds later.

Don’t see the difference in the Town Halls between stacked Romney debates and stacked Obama debates. Republicans were asked if they were a staffer or a Mormon before being told they couldn’t ask questions. That is a typical Town Hall of Dems here.

Republican Town Halls I have been to over the years are usually free wheeling — anyone can ask a question, but not Romney.

There are no perfect candidates. It is just a matter of what kind of imperfection you are going to tolerate and work with.

You are right, broncobilly.

But there are good candidates (Gov. Palin)
and horrible, loser, lying, shapeshifting, backstabbing,
RINO, carpetbagging candidates (Bishop Romney).

Just compare the miserable Romney vs. the Honorable Gov. Palin.

And the argument that so many good conservatives could be bribed into backing someone who was evil and would destroy our party is absurd.

I take the Occam's Razor view. Forget bribery. Mostly backers of Romney are just dumbasses and tools.

Yes I'm calling (insert your favorite group or pundit who supports Romney) a dumbass if he/she/it really thinks Romney is a conservative. Their wool-eyed opinions are not gospel.

Yes, you are. Fortunately, among those who have that opinion, they have decided to practice selective amnesia and still support those “dumbasses” in the next election.
