He displayed much more complacency than compassion to Mary Jo Kopechne by leaving her trapped in a car to drown and 'complacently' waiting 9 hours before calling for help.

“Compassion” with other people’s money is thievery, plain and simple. Our government wasn’t meant to be like a giant pinata with special interests jostling for a part of the spoils. Yet, that is exactly where we are today, no small thanks to Teddy and his ilk.
I think he is especially the conscience of the uninformed and the party regular and even the entire Northeast.
Ted’s conscience ?
There’s no doubt that for the people on the receiving end of Ted’s plundering of other people’s money, he was a hero.
Yes, yes, yes....he was compassionate not complacent....as long as we the people submitted out taxes to finance his compassion.

It never ceases to amaze me. I would get jail time for stealing from you, but a politician can legally take pretty much whatever I want for me.
As someone who would leave a poor woman to her death so he could go home and sleep it off, a serial adulterer who chose party over country, party goals over national security, he is a great conscience for those who, among other things, want to give Constitutional privileges to enemy combatants, citizens' rights to illegal immigrants and death by abortion to innocents in the womb.
He was their hero and may his soul now reside where his life work has lead it.
I remember this sickening little rodent from that jerk Mclaughlin’s show. I see he hasn’t changed.
Oh he was in bed with the commies, but why would he go against his church? I remember a 'Polish' Pope working with Reagan to tear down that wall.
He reminded us that drunken sexual predators can prevail through the generous application of family money, secret payoffs, private investigators, and bloodless attorneys.
