WASHINGTON - The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has written a searing critique of government efforts at strategic communication with the Muslim world, saying that no amount of public relations will establish credibility if American behavior overseas is perceived as arrogant, uncaring or insulting.
The critique by the chairman, Adm. Mike Mullen, comes as the United States is widely believed to be losing ground in the war of ideas against extremist Islamist ideology.

No more coddling of Molly. Eff the muzzzzzlimz.
I hate to even mention it, but I think we are the next ones to be Effed. Its their turn...
Horsefeathers. It's being able and willing to do a smackdown on the Moose that gets their (grudging) respect.
I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that.
I think every American who goes in theater needs sensitivity training ( sarc.).
Can you believe his. It all started with the outing of
Coughlin, a consultant who was formulating the USN terror response policy, delineating the methods used by jihadists and how to protect against them.
Hesham Islam (sic), Englands butt buddy, and USN Deputy Sec. England conspired to get rid of Coughlin and his realistic approach, substitutiong it with this kind of defeatist liberal pap we see now.
You can read the whole background on how the USN got to this sordid weak place here:

I say show them a vision of the bomb... That will give them the heart to show some respect...
I am not sure that we didn’t lose this war on January 20, 2009.
Islam is 100% extremist, confrontational and utopian natured in the darkest of ways ever known to mankind. It cannot stand without Jihad. The West celebrates Sharia Law thru banking...it cannot be separated as a tool for use and profit without accepting the rest of it. Like a bagged tranch of derivatives, it cannot be broken up for distribution. No wonder, UK took Churchill out of the textbooks since its conquering:
” How dreadful are the curses which Islam lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
“A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute propertyeither as a child, a wife, or a concubine must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.
“No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.
“Far from being moribund, Islam is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science -the science against which it had vainly struggled -the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.
~~ Sir Winston Churchill~~
Enough of this “winning their hearts and minds” crap. Muslims have been waging war on the non-muslim world since their religion came into existence. Their religion orders them to give the infidels two choices, submit to Islam or dhimmintude and pay the jizya tax. That’s their idea of winning hearts and minds.
Where the hell is the reprocity they want a peaceful co-existence? What in the hell have they done to “win the hearts and minds” of those in the west that theirs is a religion of peace?
The Muslim community is a subtle world we dont fully and dont always attempt to understand, he wrote. Only through a shared appreciation of the peoples culture, needs and hopes for the future can we hope ourselves to supplant the extremist narrative.
now let's try this:
The NAZI community is a subtle world we dont fully and dont always attempt to understand, he wrote. Only through a shared appreciation of the peoples culture, needs and hopes for the future can we hope ourselves to supplant the extremist narrative.
See? Hitler and his cabal were simply misunderstood...
Well stated, Fred.
Americans are long accustomed to peace. But I believe they awaken now, and I cannot predict what will happen.I do know things will likely get ugly and violent.
This is a sad time for America, but the fight is now delineated, and we know what we must do. We wait for a leader, but maybe we do not need one.
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Quite the contrary, though Mullen may be packing his bags, speaking out does well for the country. It shows that some good men will put country before personal gain and may encourage more to question the CINC as is their duty at that level of command.
Ummm...he’s at the top. He can’t get another promotion regardless.
Just sayin’
