Woman in 1991 Kidnap Apparently Emerges

PLACERVILLE, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say an alleged kidnapper fathered two children with the woman who emerged 18 years after being snatched from a bus stop.
The new details came as authorities provided more information about the saga Jaycee Lee Dugard, who vanished when she was 11 years old and turned up at a police station in Northern California this week.
El Dorado County Undersheriff Fred Kollar says the woman spent most of her time in sheds, tents and outbuildings to isolate her from the world. Police say her captor was Phillip Garrido. He is being held for investigation of kidnapping, rape by force, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and sexual penetration.

The judge and the parole officers aren’t the only government employees who should be hung with these lowlifes.
If a regular taxpaying citizen had a yard full of non-code sheds and tents, county code enforcement would be all over them assessing fines, levying tax liens against the property, and sending in a crew to clean it out at which time, this poor girl could have been rescued long ago. WHERE WAS COUNTY CODE ENFORCEMENT?
Local news is reporting that neighbors are saying that they called the police when they became aware there were children living with him, knowing he was a sex offender, and the COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE DID NOT FOLLOW UP.
I am sick of paying taxes that go to government workers who do not do their jobs. Give us back our tax money and let us arm ourselves and scum like this guy and his wife won’t be around to do this to children.
It's just saddening and maddening to think of the recovery she has ahead of her. Her most formative years stolen from her. Her psychological and emotional issues will be serious. And what about her two kids fathered by that monster? With her own issues, she's going to need a lot of help with that. Who knows... they may not even be able to stay with her.
It's a huge mess. I truly cannot wrap my head around what sort of monster this guy, and his wife, must be. All that time, to be capable of such unspeakable cruelty. I just don't understand how somebody could be that cruel to an innocent little girl like that. I really don't.
But now I pretty well understand how to be cruel back. I could think of all sorts of ways to make a monster like this suffer. And I wouldn't feel the slightest guilt about it.
This story is wo poorly written. For example,
1) It says the guy was paroled in 1999, but he kidnapped her in 1991.
2) It says “he was seen with two small children at the University of California, Berkeley.” But the chidren are 11 and 15.
So confusing.
At any rate, this guy should be killed — slowly and painfully.
The reports are she had the children at the home.
The reports are she had little contact with the outside world and then only under the watchful eye of her kidnappers.
The reports are she was kept in a shed in the backyard.
The reports are the children never attended school.

Good option but I think that living in a shed for 18 years while being periodically raped might give them more time to think about the enormous pain they inflict on innocent people when they vote to release a criminal pervert.
