It will be interesting to compare her face to the milk carton computer-generated renditions of what she was predicted to look like as an adult.
Anyway, praise be to God.

Isn’t the statue to limitations up by now after 11 years?

Was she held for years?
Kidnapping is beyond just the original abduction charge.

I don’t believe kidnapping has a statute of limitations in most States.

I’m gonna wait for official confirmation that this is her. There are too many kooks out there who want their 15 minutes of fame and will lie about being a missing person
To: unixfox
sad, but fascinating story to follow I am sure. . .. Wow. I am glad she is alive and pray they did not further abuse her. Amazing now she can be reunited with her family. Curious how she has been muffled to the age of 29.

Not sure what it is in California but if they held her for this many years I would think they are still in LOTS of trouble.
I say hang em and get it over with, but that's just me.

Isnt the statue to limitations up by now after 11 years?Um, it was 18 years ago, but your question's still valid.

It would be interesting to see progression “estimate” vs. actual.
But then none of the global warming/cooling kooks have been able to “predict” 40 years of temperature change even using OLD data to pinpoint it to current (or recent past) trends.
Ultimately, this woman IDed herself.

I was not aware anyone had ever erected a statue to limitations. Lord knows we could use one.

the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office confirmed. This is a followup to the initial announcement that she'd gone to them and submitted to DNA testing.

Kidnapping is a federal crime and I do not believe there is any statute of limitations.

I dont believe kidnapping has a statute of limitations in most States. To the best of my knowledge, there is no statute of limitations on murder, kidnapping, or defrauding the IRS.

All I can think of is WOW and thank the Lord. I guess one must always keep hope. 18 years. I can’t wait to hear the story on this one and I hope they fry those people who took that girl and robbed her family and her of her childhood and God only knows what else.
To: unixfox
Yep.
Mess with defenseless kids and you get the express lane to execution.
But this IS California....
Perps will probably get a “reality” series...

Murder is the only charge I know with no statute of limitations.
Even theft expires. POSSESSION of stolen items does not bestow ownership but doesn’t even necessarily carry a criminal offense after 7 years.
