Isn’t the statue to limitations up by now after 11 years?

Was she held for years?
Kidnapping is beyond just the original abduction charge.

I don’t believe kidnapping has a statute of limitations in most States.

Not sure what it is in California but if they held her for this many years I would think they are still in LOTS of trouble.
I say hang em and get it over with, but that's just me.

I was not aware anyone had ever erected a statue to limitations. Lord knows we could use one.

Kidnapping is a federal crime and I do not believe there is any statute of limitations.

I’d guess that the kidnapping was still an ongoing crime right up until she got loose (not knowing the details, I’m making the assumption that she just escaped).

I’m sure her parents will be more than happy to dole out any punishment the court isn’t willing or able to.

Doesn’t the criminal act extend as long as the victim is held?
