Will President Obama "seize power overnight" in a move to consolidate White House control of the U.S. government?
That's the fear of Fox News anchor Glenn Beck who discussed the issue at length today with another broadcasting powerhouse, radio's Rush Limbaugh.
"I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought," Beck said.
His comment came as he was analyzing the changing nature of the media since Obama's election, citing the administration's close ties with the NBC network, owned by corporate giant General Electric:
If you watch what could only be called the administration's organ – anything involved with GE or NBC – you've got [GE CEO] Jeffrey Immelt on the board of the Federal Reserve, you have him in the Oval Office consulting not only on health care, but the financial situation, and they are an organ. If you watch MSNBC, I contend that you will see the future because they are laying the ground for a horrible event ... anything from the right, there's some awful event and I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought.
Limbaugh responded, "I don't think they're going to be able to seize it overnight without anybody knowing about it."

I don’t think it will come to civil war. Anymore. However I did prepare for it starting on Nov.5th. I have more than I’ll ever need...and I’m glad I’ve got it.
The same way that the GM CEO is fired. The same way that banker's wages are regulated after-the-fact. The same way that property is stolen from GM bondholders and given to Union thugs. The same way that taxpayers are robbed to buy a bank or two. Or a car company. Or a few "clunkers".
Ths SOB communist in the White House and his enablers in the house and Senate don't give one s**t about the Constitution. They're in power now.

My good conservative friend has a son in the military, and I posed the same question to her. She looked at me with the saddest eyes and reminded me that our military is trained to obey. She told me HER SON is being trained to obey.
I understand our military are patriots. But they are also trained to obey.
I think the people of this country need to stand up and fight like their lives depend upon it. We need to teach our children well, get involved in their education, attend tea parties, burn up the phone lines, send faxes and emails, write editorials, attend town hall meetings, volunteer at the voting booths, volunteer to get decent conservative candidates, and stand up for people like Beck and Rush and Palin when people say they’re crazy. We need to do all in our power to influence the vote, and to do what it takes to be around when the votes are tallied.
We have the responsibility to ensure that our military has a Commanding Officer and superior officers worth obeying.
Remember, though, that BO has said that he wants a civilian “army” as large and strong as our military.
Who do you think comprises these organizations like SEIU, ACORN, MOVEON, The New Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, and the list goes on forever? In fact, these organizations are coming out of the woodwork like termites. Obama might not need the US military if he has his own. How many are there and how long have they been organizing while America has been drinking the latte?
Seizing power overnight would be a real shocker and maybe just what is necessary to get people to take action instead of just sitting around hoping that things will get better.

anyone keeping up with SB-2099 senate bill that will require to leis all guns have or own and possably pay a $50 dollar tax per gun? that means if gun owners refuse they are outside the law and will be prosicuted...most likely it will be used to confiscate guns.
Sure it can happen. Who would have thought a year ago that we’d be in the mess we’re in today? I can think of a number of scenarios growing out of the “never let a good crisis go to waste” philosophy.
Maybe a swine flu crisis with quarantines?

Because they have been promised a Utopia that they will be elites. Of course, what they don’t understand is they will eventually become the targets.
Dictators have no friends; only targets that become sacrifices in order to continue their reign of terror.
You would think people would wise up; but people that are stupid just don’t. You can fix ignorance; but I don’t think there is much hope for stupid.
Nope the communication blackouts will make the seizures possible.You will not know about it until days or weeks afterwards. How will you protect your neighbors (miles away?) if you do not know of the threat? How can they take our guns if gun owners know about it? They cannot. Be aware of this specific contingency: a communication blackout, including the jamming of ham radio. If the load hits the squirrel cage count on this happening.
They are trained to obey the oath to defend the Constitution.
Uhh, who exactly is going to make up this ‘civilian army’? And how do those numbers compare to the rest of us? Gimme a break. And bring it on.

I think he is trying to get people to pay attention because the constitution and its bodies are being destroyed and its almost at the point of no return....in one day the cia was gutted. the fbi was screwed a long time ago.....and not that trustworthy....
Well, if he keeps the majority of our military overseas in dubious police actions - he could potentially try to become dictator with his acorn army...
But many of us here would fight as true Patriots to defend our freedoms and liberty - even to death.
I have always noticed that there is a gradual rising crescendo just before the storm.
