"Sleep deprivation, "insult slaps," water dousing and "walling," or slamming a detainee's head against a wall, were techniques used by CIA interrogators to break high-value detainees, according to an agency memo."
Holder decision "promises political headaches for President Barack Obama, came after the Justice Department's ethics watchdog recommended considering prosecution of CIA employees or contractors for interrogations in Iraq and Afghanistan that went beyond approved limits."
Cheney said ""The people involved deserve our gratitude. They do not deserve to be the targets of political investigations or prosecutions," he said in a statement."

Did you notice that several of the supposed “abuses” were committed by a guy pretending to be from a middle-eastern intel agency. He was believable in his threats because of it. The prisoners knew an American wouldn’t do those things, but they believed he would.
I read the book written by the army interrogator in Afghanistan. Early on they could get results by hinting that the prisoner was being sent to the Saudis or the Egyptians. Later they decided that this ruse was illegal and they stopped doing it. But it was very effective. The moment they thought they were going to the Saudis they would start singing.
By the way, the agent who fired his gun in the neighboring room was investigated and he resigned over the matter. There was more review and there was no further prosecution.
It was in violation of the rules (even though it had only psychological effects on the prisoner).
Our government was harsher on David Koresh in using a tank to root up graves of the Branch Davidians, playing “These Boots Are Made For Walking (all over YOU)” at deafening volumes, and using other psy ops (they had the building bugged, they knew he could be driven to suicide).
Who ever saw prison time of their actions in that fiasco?
Not.
Enough.
Bad.
Stuff.
Can.
Happen.
To.
These.
Motherhugging.
People.
Show the memo then. Is there an actual CIA-approved term called, "walling"? Or is that just a term prefaced by, "Some agents call the technique "walling" when they slam a detainees head against a wall?" Or "One agent referred to it as "walling." Or even worse, "One detainee called it "walling."
Since the memo's contents have been leaked we now have a right to actually see the memos with the appropriate redactions in place.
>Does anyone else think our country has spun out of control the past 9 months?<
Up is down, down is up, left is right and right is wrong.
It’s all perfectly logical to the liberal mind who invites chains to be put on all of us.
We are SCREWED.
This is insane the democrats hate America.
“You are about to be ruled by the black man, Cracker!”
The hidden agenda is the liberal wet dream realized, govt control creating social entitlements produces the political dismantaling our the DOD.
When the govt controls every aspect of your life politicians can force you to make a false choice between seeing your doctor, or investing in new weapons systems.
Holder is violating The Constitution and endagering American citizens.
What do you do when the enemy is in the whitehouse?
You mean, not counting the 40 year slide down the ramp?
IE 'the usual suspects'
So who is going to arrest Holder for treason for giving our enemies training tips on how to handle a CIA interrogation?
The spinning is all according to plan. This CIA investigation is but a ploy by the dims to shift media attention away from health care. Maybe? But here is the bigger picture.
It is also about undermining national security and the good men who take an often dangerous job to assist and support the common good of US citizens. I shudder to think that BO and his minions have access to all our national security secrets. Who, outside and inside the country, is being provided every last secret necessary to secure US sovereignty and national security? We should all ponder what other information is being provided to our enemies, foreign and domestic.
“Later they decided that this ruse was illegal and they stopped doing it.”
Oh, how I wish that couldn’t be true. What idiocy.
