The death of Sen. Edward Kennedy quickly became a rallying cry for Congress to pass health care overhaul legislation.

This headline is as predictable as night follows day.
As Rush Limbaugh pointed out on his show today, remembering Kennedy's life should spur calls to oppose DeathCare, because Kennedy took every means he to preserve his own life - even at Chappaquiddick long before his brain tumor was diagnosed. He never would tolerate government-rationed care and government death panels in his own life, so we must not allow his fellow 'Rats to impose it on the masses of Americans!
If Ted Kennedy had the HC program Obama and the Dems want to pass, he would have been dead long ago. Over 65, with a terminal illness, he would not have had all the specialized treatment that helped him stay alive. Reports say he "had a long battle with cancer." I don't think it was that long! But, I do know that without all the best that American doctors and medicine can offer, there would not have been a "long battle." The Death Panel would have met with him and it would have been "Good Night, Nurse," at the discovery of his brain tumor.
Shame, shame on the Dems for trying to use Kennedy's death as some sort of trump card to pass their Health Care plan.
A plan which never would have allowed him to survive, had he had to be on it like the other "commoners" in this country.
I am disgusted with the ill-mannered Pelosi and those who are crass enough to pin the idea of "honoring" Kennedy by passing this plan, on the death of a man they supposedly admired and loved. Utter and total bad taste. And typically opportunistic as the Dems are.
Gee... What a surprise! As IF people would get the same care that he received. What a bunch of a—es to try to capitalize on his death politically - but then, again, it’s not like we all didn’t expect this...
I agree.
Yes! He got the treatment needed to sustain his life, but now he wants to deny all of us that same treatment & opportunity. He’s still trying to kill us from the grave!
Its strange that Pelosi jumped right on her pedestal with this one, saying that because it was Kennedy’s dream to pass this bill, that it will be passed...well, what about MaryJo K’s dreams, who stood up for her?
It was Hitler’s dream to exterminate the Jews. Pelosi would honor his death by finishing that work too.
Maybe Obama took a side trip to see him and smothered him with a pillow.
When i hear Pelosi’s statement i’m wondering how a political leader can be that stupid and cynical with a complete lack of decency
TV has been unwatchable today. I knew it would be this way.
its more like QUICK pass some rationing so the plebians cannot get the life extending care that Teddy got!!!
THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE REALLY DOING.
Okay, libs, we'll pass KennedyCare -- just as soon as you honor Reagan's passing in 2004. The Gipper called for a BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT countless times. COUGH ONE UP AND WE'LL TALK. |
:’) Thanks justiceseeker93.
He got Teddy confused w/ his little dog Billie— “Here, Billie, here Billie” Sing for me, Teddy!
Wasn't long after he arrived in Hawaii to bury the OBC that his Grandmother passed, this is becoming a trend.
I don’t know if these brilliant Dems understand that we understand, that under their so called health “reform” Teddy would never have had an operation for the tumor in the first place. He would have had an “end of life” counseling and died some time ago. But of course that wouldn’t happen with ANY member of Congress, let alone a multimillionaire criminal machine politician. Do it for Teddy- a rallying cry? Think again- Americans aren’t that dumb. We no longer genuflect when the limousines pass.
I truly hope the Dems are stupid enough to think that the country actually gives two zhits about Kennedy’s legacy....
Or the democrat party! politicizing the Wellstone campaign rally Memorial....
very ghoulish of them.
