One of two people suspected of shattering 11 windows Tuesday morning at the state Democratic Party headquarters has an arrest record and a history of helping a Democratic political candidate, public records show.
Police said that about 2:20 a.m., 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler, now in custody, and an at-large accomplice took a hammer to the picture windows displaying posters touting President Barack Obama and his health care reform efforts.
Early Tuesday, Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak said the damage to her building in Denver's art district was a consequence of "an effort on the other side to stir up hate." She tempered her statement after Schwenkler's political history was revealed.
"What I've been saying is there is a lot of rhetoric out there from both sides of the spectrum," Waak said. "That's what's been disturbing to me. People are saying a lot of things not appropriate for civil discourse."
For weeks, people on both sides of the health care debate have rallied across the country.
Schwenkler is charged with criminal mischief and is to make his first appearance in Denver County Court today.
He is accused of doing an estimated $11,000 in damage and could face a felony conviction.
On the last day of the 2008 Republican National Convention, he was charged with misdemeanor unlawful assembly in St. Paul, Minn.

**’08 race worker
—They got race workers now?
+++++++++++++
You know, stimulatin’ and savin’ jobs - all over this great country. </s>
The media still hasn’t told us his name, but they continue to use that incident against conservatives.
++++++++++++++++
Lying Traitors.
Here we go; their first salvo
LOLOL!!! The progressives are desperately hoping their opponents will behave like them! Maybe they’ll finally realize their opponents are only using one threat: to kick them out of office.
The honest thing to do
++++++++++++++
You *do* know who we’re talking about here, right...snark.
We're not fitting their made up narrative on the Socialized Medicine debacle, sooo, they're trying to gin it up - and getting caught at it. Kind of amazing the media didn't try to hide the shim's past, and maintain s/he was a conservative for a few more days/weeks/forever?
The media must have some kind of an algorithm that they do, to figure out if it is feasible for them to lie and promote liberalism, or not. Part of it does actually have to do with how OBVIOUS such lying would be.
But believe you me, there is a LOT of lying that goes on by the MSM/SRM/enemedia.
Thanks for posting the Daily Kook comments. I don’t have any desire to ever visit their site and read the hate for myself. I see enough of it from Libtards I actually know.
I hope the local GOP has the guts to demand an apology from the state Dem chairwoman.
++++++++++++++
We’ve got to start doing this. It *forces* the media to be fair, also.
That’s a completely different statement that contradicts your previous statement, in which you smeared the opposition with absolutely no evidence to support your accusation.

She’s a well trained Democrat.
Computers Stolen From Boston ACORN Office Oct 17, 2008 11:06 am US/Eastern Police are investigating a burglary at the Boston offices of the community activist group ACORN. |
Boston police told WBZ Friday that three Dell laptop computers were stolen from the group's Dorchester office around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. (nice way to hide lists of illegally-registered voters)
According to police, the alarm had also been ripped from the wall and wires had been damaged.
The police report says two downstairs offices also were ransacked, two vending machines were damaged and change stolen from them. (because GOP burglars are WELL KNOWN for breaking into vending machines for spare change LOL)
A representative from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now said he did not know if the break-in was politically motivated, but called the timing “suspicious.”
The FBI is investigating whether ACORN helped foster voter registration fraud in several states before the presidential election.
ACORN denies any fraud.
And later, THIS news release by ACORN to point the blame elsewhere:
Did someone hire them from Craigslist to do this as is standard operating procedure for Rat activism?
“Early Tuesday, Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak said the damage to her building in Denver’s art district was a consequence of “an effort on the other side to stir up hate.” She tempered her statement after Schwenkler’s political history was revealed.”
ROFLMAO!
“doesn’t mean he’s a good Democrat.”
Oh, he’s a good Democrat. Believe me.
Just like Mohammad Atta was a good Moslem.
That's what I was thinking.
From the Dinah Lord blog about the arrest of the transgendered "Ariel Attack":
She is listed in the jail records and media under her birth name.
Her "birth name" could be Maurice Schwenkler.
Once again.........
“Balmer said he suspects the vandalism might have been aimed at making the GOP look bad.”
Ya think?
Just like all those fake “hate crimes” of vandalism.
Of course, it could also be an “extreme” (is there any other kind?) Dem who is disappointed in Obama and wanted a REAL Communist...
This Schwenkler looks like a transsexual (NOT transgender - gender is for language, not bodies). Looks more like a “butch” to me, at least.
If that headline writer was following the latest British ‘sensitivity’ rules, the word “race” would be “unacceptable.”
Apparently, “black” and “white” are now objectionable in the UK. I hope the *news item* that reported the wordpolice report was satire, but I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t.
Maybe not. They got caught here, and now any more incidents will be viewed suspiciously. Unless they actually catch a right winger in the act, they’re now going to have a problem blaming it on the right.
