Daily Gut: Frommer = Tool
Posted By Greg Gutfeld On August 24, 2009 @ 2:09 pm In Daily Gut, News, Politics
So the king of the travel guide racket, Arthur Frommer, has come out against Arizona. Yes, he claims hell no longer visit the state because it permit thugs to openly carry guns. He revealed this on his blog, after witnessing a protester carrying a rifle outside a building where the President was speaking.

Freeper Travel Alert:
Avoid all Frommer products.
“Avoid all Frommer products.”
DONE!
I read about a woman arrested in NH for walking around topless. She had a gun on her hip, but that was legal and OK.
lol.
As long as you stay out of Phoenix (Mexican narco-terrorist kidnapping mecca) you will do pretty durn good in Arizona.
I think that we should all avoid spending any money or time in AZ until they dis-elect the little rat John McCain.
Bump
The face of a wuss!!!
News Alert:
State of Frommer : Condition Red
The State of Frommer is gooshy and malleable with a side of cinnamon freedom fries. His brain has been leaking out of his ears for years and he has finally reached critical mass. You know that stupid saying that humans only use 10% of their brains?? Well, 10% is all Soupy Frommer has left!
Calling this man intelligent is an insult to baby pet turtles everywhere. This is a man whose travel writings are probably the most inaccurate yammerings anywhere outside of DU and Kos. I could write better travelogues for places I only visited in a dream.
Sqeaky Frommer should be ashamed of himself. He has just dishonored his entire profession of bad travel writers. He has just called into question why this freaking job actually exists. The newspaper industry is in full-on collapse and yet they still employ people who do the most incredibly oddball articles and features.
Does the Daily Okalhoman need someone to review plays? I really doubt it. Newspapers might try firing these useless writers and hire people who might actually make people who don’t buy papers, thats a lot more than those who do, think about picking them up.
But that would mean having conservatives and libertarians tainting their pages when, really, they’d much rather trash ordinary America and glorify the wackjobs. Wackjobs like Loosey Frommer just like to glorify places and his feelings about them more than get any facts right.
I mean, the man is abnormal. He’s not alone. Anyone can do what this guy does and they do, all over the internet ordinary Americans write about their travel experiences and do a better job than Freddie Frommer.
As a matter of fact ordinary people using the internet to share their ideas and thoughts and even feelings, that is whats killing off the stodgy old, dead tree, yesterdays news media.
Thank God and Arizona for that.
Oh his name is Arthur. lol. I kept forgetting.
I wouldn’t want to punish our conservative brothers and sisters in AZ because some liberals and faux conservatives voted him into office.
The fact that Frommer was apparently so concerned about travelers that he warned the public to stay out of AZ while choosing to voice any safety concerns/warnings for states/cities such as Washington D.C. and Chicago (places with a much higher crime rate) only reinforces my desire to visit the state.
Did you see #10. Thats my version of a Gregalog
Intended to say in post #12:
“...while choosing NOT to voice any safety concerns/warnings...”
Pardon my ignorance, but what’s a Gregalog?
The writer of this column is Greg Gutfeld, on his TV show he does little editorials called “Gregalog” that always ends with “and if you disagree with me, you, sir, are worse than Hitler”
I see. We do not have televised programming, which explains the reason I’ve never seen Gutfeld’s TV show.
I personally have spent a LOT of time there, and I love the state. Although I think their concealed carry/ open carry laws get a little confusing, I think the freedom of open carry is great. My post about McCain was mainly to draw attention to him.
We’ve visited AZ on a couple of occasions and enjoyed the trips. It’s a beautiful state.
If Frommer can’t manage to set aside his bias at the cost of real threats to travelers, he won’t receive a penny from my family. I’d just as soon ask the Walmart sales clerk for travel advice than consult a Frommer’s Guide.
