WASHINGTON If you're planning a garage sale or organizing a church bazaar, you'd best beware: You could be breaking a new federal law. As part of a campaign called Resale Roundup, the federal government is cracking down on the secondhand sales of dangerous and defective products.
The initiative, which targets toys and other products for children, enforces a new provision that makes it a crime to resell anything that's been recalled by its manufacturer.

LOL!
Oh, you whippersanppers make me feel old!
We played that in kindergarden in the early 1950s! Usually, ours had holes of various sizes, and the smaller the hole, the more points it was worth.
A few years older, and were playing ring ("deck") tennis at school.
Nice catch!
all is well just very busy
Glad to hear it.
Our only Salvation Army store closed a couple months ago... They say it was operating at a loss, but while that may be true, I think it had more to do with this new law regarding garage sales and thrift stores than their operating costs (for gosh sakes they only had 2 employees - the rest volunteers, and prices doubled on us over the last year and a half or so...). The truth is, they wouldn’t have made ANYTHING if they had to stop taking children’s clothing and items... It’s not just recalled toys, or appliances and the like...
Anyway, this really makes me upset... I feel very sorry for the young mothers who will not be able to clothe their children from the generosity of the holders of these garage sales and the like... They were a lifesaver for me when my own children were little and went through clothes like crazy (they “played hard”!)...

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
I LOVE lawn darts! Haven’t been able to find a REAL set in years! (how much do you want for them?) ;-)
AAAAAAAAAAA-MEN!!
See tagline...
The hilarity of tyranny.
Get back to that. Your Constitution give you these rights. Claim them !
All feds have to do is bring up “interstate commerce” and they seem to have unlimited power over the states after that. The judicial system all the way to SCOTUS backs them up on this.
that’s perfect. Absolutely perfect.
It’s not some meaningless internet rant quoting the Declaration of Independence as if anything is going to happen.
This is the perfect expression to this stupidity - enforcing this would be a complete fiasco not to mention ineffective.
Oh yeah.
If the FBI are so underworked that they have the time to infiltrate garage sales I have a few chores they can do.
