Fairey is jelous that the obuma poster is better than anything he ever scribbled in his shallow, meaningless rat life.

Despite the individuals intelligence, the message rang true.

He was aiming for lowest common denominator when he came up with OBEY GIANT.
He also pilfered two messages from They Live. OBEY and THIS IS YOUR GOD.
He studied the craft of Soviet and NAZI propaganda poster art (lifting swipes freely from both).
He’s a propagandist serving the State and seeking to make the populace OBEY and worship materialism.
He is what he claims to be against.
Then your poster should have read "HOPIST". Obama didn't invent Hope.

What an idiot - Marx scoffed at the legacy of socialism - it was around way before he created “communism” ( tho the word is never uttered in Das Kapital itself).
It disturbs Obama supporters because Heath Ledger played that character in the Dark Knight series version of the Joker and because of the way it was portrayed. But parsing the grammar as if the "Socialism" tag should be interpreted as a direct predicate for Obama is a little odd. He's just the front man for the system. The poster alludes to the "Joker" character, Obama as a front man, and a deceptive political agenda which involves aspects of socialism.
It's not a test of grammar, as if political caricatures and cartoons follow The Chicago Manual of Style.
I notice Fairey didn’t accuse anyone of plagiarism. Smart move
