Ex-presidential candidate is siding more closely with GOP these days.
BY GREG GIROUX
WASHINGTON - He ran for president last year as a maverick Republican and had a high-profile meeting with Barack Obama after the election, but Arizona Sen. John McCain has been a staunch Republican vote since failing to win the White House.
In fact, McCain is siding with his party this year on closely divided votes with greater frequency than at any other period in his 23-year Senate career, according to a CQ analysis of Senate votes.
On votes that pitted most Democrats against most Republicans, McCain has sided with the consensus GOP position 95.4 percent of the time, a CQ-defined party unity score that would be the highest of his Senate career if it holds up for the remainder of the year.

Sigh, could you just imagine how strong and principled our republic could be if every year was an election year?

I think he can be knocked off by a real pub in AZ. I wouldn’t say the same thing about Snowe or Collins when either of them is up for re-election. Graham and a couple others can be knocked off, including Voinovich. Crist will probably appoint a RINO, and hopefully s/he can be knocked off.

It would be a salute to Sarah Palin if AZ dumps Juan. I would like to see that. AZ has a good number of able pubs. It’s time for Juan to take that long walk to the political ash heap, and take his slimebag daughter with him.
But I like Cindy McCain and I wish her well. I think she’s the real deal.

Graham was just reelected in 2008. That is the problem with incumbency: once they get in, it is next to impossible to wedge them out.

He is for amnesty for 40 million illegals, that is not fiscally conservative by any stretch of the imagination

I have a good way to clear up this immigration problem.....
No free healthcare, no free schools, no welfare of any kind for illegal aliens.
That will probably fix more than 80% of the problem right there.

Well, quite honestly, McCain has usually been a fiscal conservative. "Fiscal conservative" is a dearly beloved phrase among wealthy Californians, where warm spit is considered the height of political sophistication, because they think they can't be pinned down.
However (and quite honestly), "fiscal conservatives" have never met a socialist policy they didn't like.
It's merely a backdoor approach. Vote in socialist policies, and then once they're law, appropriate the funding secondarily, behind the curtain.
You want to see the results of "fiscal conservative" policies? Just take a look at California State finances.

Heard Chris Simcox speak the other day at the Kingman Republican Mens Club. Big turnout; hes rather soft spoken, but advocates following the constitution and has his own 90-day Amnesty program, all illegals have 90 days to leave or well escort them to the border. The congress needs ones like him. Ones not afraid to do what is right and required.

Thats right. Pull the chain and flush the Congressional bowl. If we have to pull that chain three or four times to clean em all out, then we must do it, and install some sort of Tidy Bowl to make sure we dont get another build up of scum like the one we have today. That's what it will take. That and voters defunding the party including RNC and only send donations to individual candidates.
