Democrats see little chance for GOP cooperation on health care

WASHINGTON — Given hardening Republican opposition to congressional health care proposals, Democrats now say they see little chance for the minority's cooperation in approving any overhaul, and are increasingly focused on drawing support for a final plan from within their own ranks.
Top Democrats said Tuesday that their go-it-alone view was being shaped by what they saw as Republicans' purposely strident tone against health care legislation during this month's congressional recess, as well as remarks by leading Republicans that current proposals were flawed beyond repair.
The White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said of Republican lawmakers, "Only a handful seem interested in the type of comprehensive reform that so many people believe is necessary to ensure the principles and the goals that the president has laid out."
The Democratic shift may not make producing a final bill much easier. The party must still reconcile the views of moderate and conservative Democrats worried about the cost and scope of the legislation with those of more progressive lawmakers determined to win a government-run insurance option to compete with private insurers..........
So, if they ram this through, they've got to ram Amnesty through to, so as to get those votes to save them.
They don't have the votes from the Blue Dogs...this is a blood-curdling, desperate scream as the bill prepares to die in agony.
They couldn’t stand the pretext of “debate” any longer.
What took them so long?
Now watch the usual suspects emerge to provide cover...ugh...
Enough scary details get bandied about and the Rats will be sent packing home and the program get virtually amended out of existence.
It worked for the Romans.

The essence of this program is to take money from Grandma through the death tax (and end of life "counseling").
Could be a lot of fun to watch it unfold...

Punch back twice as hard. The American people, including Dems will pay the price.
Sounds like they did the math calculating their spectacular retirement benefits, and decided they’ll live high on the hog regardless of how they vote and whether they lose the next election. We are screwed as a nation.
This is the way they will ultimately transform America. By destroying it thru another program along with Cap N Trade.
This is deliberate folks.
